What a wonderful resource to Austinites! In true South Austin style, the store front is a little, shall we say, well worn? But in truth I'd rather a business spend its money and products and services than fancy shelving and flooring.
I'll start with the deli because I'm thinking about lunch: Amazing! Delicious, local food made with love. I always pick up my next meal when I go in. I'm thinking pumpkin pie smoothie...mmmm.
The ""wellness"" team: Terrific! I can't believe the wealth of information they have walking around, ready to assist! I am particularly fond of the homeopath, Lori, and her keen connection to patients of the four-legged variety. My dog Maude likes to eat bees and though we haven't figured out a way to stop that, Lori showed me Apis which helps with the swelling.
The pharmacy is great, too. So far I've only had to get medicine for Maude there, but they mixed that up in a liver liquid that Maude lapped up in an instant and asked for more. That will be a great resource if I ever have kids of the two-legged variety (Though I'm thinking cherry or grape for them).
All in all, I think I'm one lucky girl to have Peoples Pharmacy in my backyard!
