They say you get what you pay for, and Penmar Golf Course should print that on their scorecards and pro shop signage. My tee time was given to the guy in front of me who walked up without a tee time, because I was literally 2 minutes late, NOT OF MY TEE TIME, BUT FOR THE 15 MINUTE EARLY CHECK-IN REQUIRED. The power-trippin guy behind the counter told me I would have to wait a half hour before he could put me on the list again. Not tee off, but PUT ME ON THE LIST. I drove across town to try a new course, and I got right back in my car and drove home without giving Penmar one cent from my pocket. Bad attitudes, bad location, and a poor golf course design. On top of all the rudeness and ridiculous rules, 3/4 of the practice green was closed as 10-12 people were trying to putt. The grass was in good condition, but that must be because they never allow more than one practice green to be used at once. If I had a place to putt or chip without waiting for a turn, I probably would have waited and given them a chance. Oh, and the cafe was closed. Don't waste your time, gas or money on this over-rated par 3.
Pros: Cheap
