I usually visit the restaurant with my significant other every now and then as a wonderful treat for the two of us. Recently, we decided to have a night in and were delighted that Pembroke delivers to our neighborhood. So we called and placed our order, we were told 45 minutes. We've always loved their chicken carbonara sandwich as well as their pizza, so our mouths were watering. So we waited, and waited, and waited. 45 minutes went by and we were wondering where our food was. It was during dinner time, so we figured the cooks might have been overloaded with orders. Finally after over an hour, our doorbell rang and there was a disheveled looking delivery guy with our food. I handed him the money and without saying a word, he turned around to go back to his vehicle. Problem was, we needed some change! So I called after him, he didn't turn around. Finally I got his attention and he walked back. I asked him for our change and his reply was ""Oh, most people give their change as the tip."" That would have been fine, except I don't think $13 is something to tip a driver for only two items, which upon later inspection, were rather chilly after their long ride in the car. So he finally gave us our change and at that point, I asked him his name and intended on calling to complain. He mumbled under his breath what sounded to be ""ryan"" but I can't be sure. We never did call to complain, which is a fault on our part, but it seemed rather pointless after all was said and done. Its just very upsetting that a restaurant I love so much would hire someone so rude to be a point of contact between the store and people. I'll definitely go there and dine in, but not calling in for delivery any time soon!
Pros: Wonderful food, great selection
Cons: Rude delivery driver!!
