As with any vet (or doctor or other professional), one needs to ascertain the person with whom one will be dealing. Have there been times I regretted the care I received from people there when they were someone new or with whom I had not dealt? Yeah. But when you find someone as caring and committed as Dr. Bocanegra, it's worth the price one pays for one's companion. And, yeah, any of us regulars could probably bet who it was that "sounded" mean or uncaring to the one complainer, but it has been my experience that no matter how rough around the edges she is, she cares too -- my own guess from the years of dealing with her is that the roughness is a defense mechanism from having to deal with so many people who have an animal that needs care but then when told how much basic pet care costs won't expend it.\r
