I was very please with the overall experience. I did not feel pressured and was given the opportunity to test drive the car without a salesman present. All features were explained and demonstrated, and when I decided to purchase the car, the salesman linked my phone to it. It was great! All I had to do was sign the papers and drive it off the lot. more

Up until my latest experience with a flat tire and not knowing until I went into my trunk that I did not have a spare or jack, everything had been wonderful. And then to be told that it didn't have one because it would make the car lighter and therefore give me better gas mileage is the craziest thing yet. I may never buy another Hyundai because of this. more

Excellent 2013 Hyundai for us 5/31/2013

A great size SUV for the size that we need. The Santa Fe has been enlarged for 2013, which make it a great size car for our needs. It has many great upgrades from the previous Santa Fe of previous years. more

Jason, the Service Manager, is an outgoing and friendly individual, who seems sincere in his interest in your problem, and will go to any lengths to have the problem resolved. A true pleasure to deal with, as is the rest of the Pearson team. Many steps above the other dealerships I have dealt with in the past!!!! more

Unsatisfied customer 4/25/2013

I bought a car from Pearson Pre-owned, and the car had a year warranty. Who knew two months after the warranty expired, the transmission would start having problems. I took it to the service department at Pearson Hyundai and they couldn't offer any type of assistance. I will NEVER buy another car from any Pearson dealership or refer anyone to deal with them again. more

Everything has been great with the dealership and service, etc. until this review. I bought the car not Howard, my husband, the review which was sent to my email address, but addressed him not me. If you looked at the paperwork, you will see I bought it, I bring it in and have it serviced, my name is listed first, or it should be as it is my car. I bought it, paid for most of it, and got the rest of the financing done in my name through Va Credit Union. You should not just assume this should be sent to the man's name on the records. Bad Experience with Pearson Hyundai Service 4/16/2013

I have been using Pearson Hyundai's service department since purchasing my vehicle from them in June of last year. Until my last appointment, I have been completely satisfied. However, a year's worth of good work can be undone by a single experience. My initial appointment, or so I thought, was on Saturday 4/6/13 at 10 AM. I had made this appointment through the Pearson website and received an email that said only this: {{ADMIN}} ERIC KELSEY, Thank you for sending us your service request. A service advisor will review it shortly and contact you. From the Service Department at: PEARSON HYUNDAI 9530 MIDLOTHIAN PIKE RICHMOND, VA 23235 (804) 276-0300 When I arrived at Pearson on the date above, I was told that I had no appointment and that there was nothing available until late afternoon. I informed the gentleman at the desk that I had made an appointment online to which he responded did I give a confirmation. I showed him the email above on my phone and HIS EXACT WORDS were: 'That is not a cofirmation, someone should have contacted from Hyundai Corporate to confirm we had an opening." Major problem with the above statement: I never received an email or phone call from Hyundai to confirm or deny the requested appointment time. When I questioned the gentleman at the counter further, he got defensive and attempted to not accept blame saying that Pearson does not have anything to do with the online scheduler, it is all done by corporate. I responded that the email I received was SIGNED Pearson Hyundai, the website I used to schedule the service was www.pearson.com, and therfore PEARSON is responsible. He said I am sorry and that was the end of it. No real effort was made to make this right; not even an offer right then and there to reschedule. I left quickly because I knew that no manager was there to discuss this with (I asked the front desk if there was) and started my way back home. This whole experience was made worse when I got home later and CALLED the service department to reschedule. A fellow named Ed answered and to say he was rude when I tried to explain my problem would be an understatement. He, like the other gentleman working that day, explained that Pearson is not responsible for corporate not confirming the appointment. When I explained that this whole situation was VERY frustrating to me since I live 30 minutes away and wasted my gas for nothing, he rudely said again that it was not their fault. I will say, that my appointment on Tuesday went off without any problems; however, I am still left with a bad taste in my mouth from the lack of professionalism of the staff that was working on the Saturday in question. more

Based on their reputation and a friend's experience, I chose to buy my new car at Pearson's Hyundai. The sales rep, Lori, was gracious, warm, informed, and good at her job. The financial officer was also very good. Since purchasing my car in November, 2012, I have only had two service appointments. Everyone was professional, polite, and efficient. I am glad I chose this Hyundai dealership. more
