2 Reviews of Payton Victor E MD in Athens, GA After months of trying to get my daughter in to see Dr. Payton my medicaid was lost. When my daughter got sick I had no other choice but to use her fathers insurance. Since he had just signed up my daughters PCP was automatically selected. Not realizing her father took my daughter to the PCP listed on her fathers insurance card. Because he couldn't take her to Dr. Payton because insurance wouldn't cover the visit. Unknown to myself her records were transferred. BIG MISTAKE. Dr. Payton will no longer see my daughter because she went to see another doctor. This really bugs me because Dr. Payton really knows his stuff and I really liked the office. Afters months of explaining my situation to the Dr. Paytons wife, they still refuse to see my daughter. I think this is sooooo unfair. Everyone deserves a second chance and a second opinion when is comes to their children. But I guess they don't understand that. So parents beware. more

Dr.Payton's office is easy to find and there is always parking. He has a sick and well child waiting room and the wait is usually not that long(10-15 minutes is the max I have ever waited and many times we are able to walk right in). Dr. Payton is funny, lighthearted but very thorough. You can tell he really cares for his patients. He really listens to parents concerns and is very knowledgeable. His staff and Nurse are super. They even have a train that tunnels in and out of the central room. We LOVE Dr. Payton and all of his staff! more
