Editorial review from Citysearch 3/25/2013

Very dishonest group of people. We went into the Fresno dealership on a Sunday ready to purchase an RV. We found the one we wanted, but were very set regarding the payment amount we did not want to exceed. The salesmen (there were two) told us ""No Problem"" when we discussed the payment issues with them. We sat down in their office, negotiated the details of the sale (i.e. down payment, monthly payment, delivery date etc.). They took our CASH down payment out of the room to their financial office to begin the formal drafting of the contract. They returned to advise us that they were not able meet our requirements for the payment amount after all, and tried to strongly negotiate a higher monthly payment. We held firm as we did not want to exceed the budget we had planned for. At this point the salesmen were never heard from again. We were then passed on to the Sales Manager, Julian Castillo. We had a good credit score so he suggested that we let them work with a few other banks on Monday to give us more options. We agreed, although the atmosphere and behavior of the salesmen were odd. We asked for our cash down payment back since we did not enter into an agreement and were informed that it had been put into their safe and they had no key to it. We were not happy about it, but Julian gave us a receipt calling our down payment a ""deposit"" and refused to budge. Due to the strange goings on, we felt uncomfortable to continue in any arrangement with this dealership and called them within 30 minutes of leaving to advise them of our decision. Julian was not available by phone at that time, so we left a message. For the past four weeks we have continued to try to get our money back. They have agreed to, told us a check is in the mail (even gave a check number), but we have received nothing. We have been treated rudely, and are now being completely ignored. We are headed to small claims court at this point. We would never recommend doing business with this group. They take the joke about used car salesmen to a new level. Absolute shysters! more

WORST R.V. purchase EVER!! 4/29/2012

The WORSTvehicle buying experience we have ever had!! Our experience bordered on elder abuse. We strongly suggest considering another dealer prior to purchasing or servicing your R.V. more

Warning. Very dishonest service department 10/9/2011

After giving an estimate for repairs, I had the insurance company send their check directly to PERV. The estimate included around $300 of fiberglass work that I decided NOT to have them do. I had a $250 deductable and decided to fix the easy stuff myself. The service manager lined out the items I didn't want done, while I watched hem do it. When the work was done they had done the extra work and now required me to pay them the extra $250 or they wouldn't give my RV back. The Manager told me they didn't need my authorization to do anything to my vehicle. They never showed me a work order, never got my signature, and the only paperwork they had was a copy of the estimate that their guy had lined out the unwanted extra work on. They flat out lied about when they were going to start work. Lied about what they were going to do, and lied about when it would be done. The time before this I came in to have them check out my generator that was having trouble starting, They told me the engine was cracked and needed to be replaced. I took it to a Cummins dealership and they showed me that the run/off switch on the generator had flipped to the off position. Runs great now. more

Paul Evert's RV Country 8/23/2011

We bought an RV from Paul Evert's and they stood behind every promise they made both before and after the sale. Even now, 4 years later, when they had no legal obligation to us at all, they still helped us out when my wife tore the handle off of our washer/dryer. That goes way beyond the call of duty! Thank you for your customer appreciation get-togethers and thank you for being a quality dealer. more

Thank you Paul Everts RV Country! 7/14/2011

I am surprised at the negative reviews I have read on here. We received excellent service from the beginning to end, as have many of our friends and family who referred us to them to begin with. Tony Russo was easy to work with and was very knowledgeable. Every person we had contact with was professional, helpful, and made it an easy and enjoyable process. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for an RV. Thanks Paul Evert! Keep up the good work! more

don't bother ! Worst service in the Valley 5/26/2009

Our trailer has been ""being serviced"" for over three weeks. Almost everything needed was under warranty. We are leaving tomorrow to go cross country and guess what? No trailer. they don't answer phone calls. My husband has had to drive there to talk to anyone. None of the main things we needed have even been repaired. I even asked to have a blind ordered, to replace a ripped one and they took down the other, so now I have no blinds in the bedroom and they claim no one there knows how to put one in. Pros: they were local Cons: Unbelievably bad customer service more

PAUL EVERT'S RV - PROMISES NOT KEPT 11/6/2008

We purchased a RV from Paul Evert's RV at a Monaco Rally in Oregon this past September. We also traded our old one in on the one we bought. Unfortunately, we had just filled ours up with diesel before pulling into the rally. What we were told when purchasing the RV was ""You go fill it up with diesel and propane and when you get to Fresno we will cut you a check for your receipt"". Well, it's been seven weeks and they are refusing to reimburse us for the fuel. So, if you plan on doing any business with this company and they promise you something - GET IT IN WRITING. I was actually told by an employee of theirs that if I wanted to have work done on the RV we purchased that they had promised to do - GET IT IN WRITING - or don't expect it to get done. I did write down some things that needed to be fixed - such as some paint that needed to be replaced - and they wanted to mix up the paint and have us put it on....my answer to that was NO - I am buying a $275,000 RV and you want me to touch up the paint. That hasn't gotten done either. BUYER BEWARE - They will tell you anything you want to hear to close a deal - so get everything that you want IN WRITING. As soon as I get these problems resolved I won't be doing business with Paul Evert's RV Country. more
