Party Sushi

I love Party Sushi's prices. Especially for sashimi, my main "sushi" choice and often the most expensive thing on a menu. Party Sushi is perfectly clear about how many pieces you get in each order, which is unusual - I've been to restaurants where the sashimi entree was barely larger than the appetizer, and twice the price - so you can see that three pieces of this or that is only two-fifty and so on. And they have a wide range of different seafood available as sashimi, so you can build quite an interesting plate. On the other hand, I have avoided them for some time because the last time I got sashimi there, I found bones in my piece! Do you like sushi? Do you like really excellent sushi with a fun array of wacky roll choices? Do you like cheap sushi? If so, then you will enjoy Party Sushi on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto. They have a large menu of wacky sushi combo items such as a roll with tuna and strawberries!! They also have your sushi standards and favorites. Their prices are very reasonable ($2 for an order of Nigiri Salmon, $3-4 for a sushi roll) and the portions are generous. They are kid friendly, and the atmosphere is somewhat funny, there's a blowup Godzilla and silly masks on the wall - I guess this is the Party in Party Sushi? It is about $25 for both me and my husband to have a filling dinner and if you regularly eat sushi, you'll know that this is pretty cheap! more
