Most places give you 5days to cancel after you reserve the date. Unless its close to the party date. I am a Corporate Recruiter and went to see Azalia (owner) on Saturday August 15,2009 at 5:00pm. I reserved a party for Nov 21st for my daughters 4th birthday and gave her a deposit of $200.00 dollars. She showed me the books and novemeber of 2009 was empty from beginning to end. On Wednesday August 19,2009 I was layed-off from my job. Not knowing where my life woudl end up after this lay-off. I called Azalia and begged her to please understand my situation and reimburse the deposit. She told me that she had that situation happen to her before and that she would leave the money there for a year. A year from august !!!! My daughters birthday is in nov so even if I could do this next year I wont be able to use the credit because it would have expired in august.(Very slick on her part). I have dealt with party vendors for most of my adult life and I am very loyal to those who are good to me. As a professional and Business owner I know that sometimes policies (specially for small business) can be changed. In this case knowing that I am a single mother and now unemployed Azalia didnt have the human decency to reimburse my deposit. Not the type of person that I want to do business with. I hope when you read this you decided not to do your party with her. Find a place that will take in consideration unexpected and misfortunate events. I would understand if she would take this attitude if this was closer to the party date but we are taking about 3.5 months. I told her that I would not recommend her to my cirlcle of friends. And she said very rudely that my circle of 10 people are not important to her because she has 3000 clients. Obviously she has so much business that she will not value yours!!! I dont know about you ...but I want someone who values my business now and later!
Pros: The place is big and the packages are not bad.
Cons: The deposit policy is theft
