A Breakfast treat hidden by the Common 4/19/2010

The breakfast buffet comes across as a solid deal, however it was not very impressive and reminded me too much of the conventional free buffets offered at the mass hotel chains. Why four stars then? The food ordered off the menu is amazing. I absolutely love eggs benedict and they had a few different varieties to choose from - crab eggs benedict for me. Extremely classy and a wonderful way to end your stay at the hotel if you are a guest. Great place to take your family as an impressive treat. Pros: convenient to hotel, easy to find in city Cons: pricey, breakfast buffet more

Restaurant Week Specials just OK. 3/23/2009

""Famous"" Parker House Rolls-Very ordinary.""Famous ""Boston Cream Pie-Tasted like it came from the grocery store.Clam Chowder was not hot,Caesar Salad was good,Fish was tasty and portion was very good. The Roast Sirloin was outstanding and the portion was ample. The Vegetables were cold!!!!!! and the potatoes were barely warm.My tort for desert was the best part of the meal. The waitstaff was very attentive and did offer to get me new hot vegetables, but,it was too late. The ambiance is warm and comfortable.I should't complain for $25.09 plus tip,but parking in the adjacent garage cost $35.00 for a hour and a half.I don't think we will be back in the near future!!!!!! Pros: Excelent Roast Sirloin Cons: Rolls and Boston Cream Pie more

grand old lady still rocks 9/13/2007

We stayed at the hotel (great!) and wanted Parker House rolls and Boston Cream Pie, so we popped in for lunch. We were tourists, and dressed casually, but most of the diners were suits. BEAUTIFUL dining room. We had heard that it was past its prime, but we found it to be delightful. Service was excellent and the food outstanding. The best chowder! Pros: excellent service Cons: dressy more

A major Disapointment 12/14/2005

The food was ok. It was not great or even good. It was just ok. The waiter kept getting our orders wrong even though the restaurant was empty. The price is oo high for such bad service and for sub par food. Unless you just have money to spend and no taste buds, I do not recommend eating at the Omni Parker Restaurant. The only saving point is the ambiance. Pros: Ambience Cons: Value, Food Quality, Unpredictable service more

Gem in the City/Outstanding Food 5/29/2005

We heard the Parker House was celebrating its Anniversary so we stopped by and decided to have dinner. This was a big surprise as we found the Food outstanding with a menu that ranges from Seafood Medley to traditional New England Lobster. Check out the Crab cakes and the Lobster Salad as these were especially well prepared and very fresh. The service was very prompt and attentive to all our needs. We plan on bringing our friends as we dine around downtown often trying new restaurants and Parker's it has not lost its ranking as one of Boston's best kept cullinery establishments. Pros: Inexpensive, Excellent Service, Casual Attire OK Cons: Traditional Decor, Formal Setting more
