Finally! 2/12/2011

We've lived in the Nashville area for 5 years now and haven't found a restaurant that blew us away until Park Cafe. The food was amazing, a culinary delight. The service was spot on...our server never missed a beat and timed each course perfectly. I also loved that the atmosphere was cozy and not pretentious as you might expect at a 5 star dining. more

sophisticated adult dining 12/19/2010

Lovely dining experience. Eclectic menu. Pleasant, adult dining atmosphere. Beautifully prepared foods. Loved the stuffed dates. Delicious entrees, nothing overcooked. Appropriate portion sizes. more

How could anyone give this place less than 5 stars? Best restaurant in Nashville. Hands down. more

Great! 6/26/2010

I live in Alabama and have to travel to Nashville for business on occasion. A co-worker invited me to Park Cafe and it was great. Great food great service! more

awesome vibe and great food 5/10/2009

Park Cafe is my favorite spot in town for everything from going on a fancy date night to sitting down for a glass of wine at the bar. I've found myself there for so many special occasions over the last year, that I don't really think of celebrating anywhere else anymore. I was there for New Years and shared a complementary glass of champagne at the bar with the rest of the patrons. I went there with my family of 10 for a graduation celebration. I also attended the Nashville Cares benefit, Dine-Out-for-Life, with my boss and co-workers. The menu is always changing, because the chef is constantly making additions and trying out new delicious plates. There is also a bar menu if you just want to get a drink and a plate of the best macaroni and cheese in town! The sommelier has wonderful taste. She is also the manager, and her love of food and wine shows in the care she shows for her customers and the quality of the product she delivers. Props to you! I'll be coming in to see you time and time again.! Pros: wine list, friendly staff, amazing tastes, GREAT patio more

A New Chef Who Thinks Outside Of The Box... 5/7/2009

I have been going to Park Cafe for many years, and I have never been disappointed. I must admit to a small amount of trepidation upon finding out that they had a new chef... I needn't have been concerned. Not only was I impressed with the new menu additions & wine selections, I was impressed with the chef himself. There's something about having the chef take time out to visit your table and inquire about your meal, that makes the food taste even better. Great food AND fantastic service- who knew? It's a lost art in many restaurants, but not, it seems, at the Park Cafe. The staff is wonderful, and the food is even better now than it has ever been. I am intrigued by the new chef's ingenuity and his care & attention to detail. He's not afraid to experiment, and yet he maintains the Park Cafe's menu favorites. A perfect combination! Pros: Great atmosphere, & the green chili mac-n-cheese! more

A romantic, cozy, modest restaurant 3/1/2009

Last night was my first time eating at Park Cafe. I immediately appreciated the restaurants popularity because of the busy waiting area and bar. The restaurant is in a house and this causes it to feel cozy. The lighting is darker than most restaurants and helped create a romantic atmosphere. The hostess was extremely friendly and sincere. The waitor promptly asked what we wanted to drink, and then told us the nights specials. The waitor service could not have been better (which is why he received a 25% tip). The waitor ensured we had what we wanted and kept the drinks full, but he did not get bothersome as they do at some restaurants. The food was simply delicious, and presented beautifully. The mongolian beef was extremely well seasoned and just the right size portion for an appetizer. The shrimp and risotto entree is a great choice and again, the right size (not enough for three people like entree's are at some restaurants). My date and I split an order of the famous Green Chile Macaroni and Cheese, best mac-n-cheese ever. If you want a pre-dinner drink, try the Tennessee Twister/Tea, it is great. Overall, this restaurant is an excellent choice for a special occasion or a romantic date. The table we had was in a small room at the front of the restaurant. There were only 2 tables in the room and this made the dinner special and private. I will eat at the Park Cafe again, and again. Pros: Romantic, non pretentious, superb food in taste and presentation more

going back for more 5/29/2008

I took a couple of local Nashville professional women to dinner at Park Cafe last year and loved the food, ambiance, privacy (several rooms) and charm. I had a heck of a time trying to locate it again but one of the ladies reminded me of the name. I'm planning to take 15 guests in a few weeks for dinner when I return to Nashville. Pros: Food, Ambience, Charm Cons: Hard to find more

Faultering 3/31/2008

Went when it first opened and it was fabulous, back again two years ago and enjoyed it even more. Went a couple of months ago and found it quite disappointing. Service was poor and food was only adequate. Success has apparently spoiled the quality of food and service. Probably won't go back. We were lost in the crowd. Pros: Neat out of the way place. Was once outstanding. Cons: Too busy for servers attention, only valet parking, average food quality. more

Great hidden gem! 1/15/2008

Great food, great wine from a date night to a business dinner. The menu is seasonal so all the ingredients are sure to be the freshest. Parking is a bit of a pain but they tend to make it work. Pros: food, ambiance Cons: parking more

make reservations, great food, service is a gamble 11/24/2007

Went with a group of 5 on a weekend night and was seated about 10 minutes after our reservation (but likely only because one member of our group called in advance and said we would not be amenable to waiting 30 minutes for our reservation like last time.) After we were seated our waiter Joseph came over, but with another hostess (or waitress) who wanted to inform us that Joseph was GREAT but new. This should have been our warning. Our food was wonderful, but dinner took over 2 1/2 hrs. Joseph apologized when ours drinks took too long, apologized when one dish was sent back (described as ""tuna sashimi"" but the tuna was heavily seared) and took 30+ minutes, apologized when our checks took forever. This restaurant gets the business and is so busy because of the food, not necessarily because they handle the volume well. Try Park Cafe, but leave a lot of time for your meal! Pros: great food, nice atmosphere Cons: service more

Park Cafe- Eclectic, make reservations, crowded atmosphere, great food! 10/13/2007

My husband and I wanted to try Park Cafe, and we were pleased with our experience overall. I will say that it is Eclectic, a littled crowded, and you really need reservations. The food is so good, though. This is a Nashville Restaraunt that you should try. I would not go for a romantic dinner, though; it is a bit loud and tables are close together. However, the cuisine is fabulous! Pros: fabulous food and menu Cons: crowded atmosphere more

wonderful experience! 1/1/2007

We have intended to try Park Cafe for a looooong time but we've just never gotten around to it, so we decided to go for New Year's Eve. We had such an AMAZING dinner. The service was wonderful, the food was great, the atmosphere was just perfect for NYE. We are both huge foodies and are pretty hard to please, but this place really hits the spot. We agreed it was the best meal we've had since we returned from Paris about this time last year. A terrific place to sit and linger over dinner. The Mongolian Beef appetizer is to-die-for!!! Everything was good, but that really stood out. My only complaint: a single stall women's restroom, which made for some pretty long lines on such a busy night. Pros: great atmosphere, staff who knows how to let you linger over dinner Cons: single stall women's bathroom more

Awesome Bread! 11/22/2006

Don't gorge yourself on the bread before the meal, you will ruin a fantastic dinner! The atmoshpere is awesome and the food preparation, and presentation is tops. I like to get there a little early to sit at or near the bar to wait. The personel and clientelle are worth watching, very professional and classy. Did I mention the food is to die for. Pros: The Menu is Fabulous Cons: Must have reservations! more

The Best in Nashville! 11/19/2006

Park Cafe is ALWAYS fabulous! A few months ago, I was disappointed that the scallop and gnocchi dish was taken off the menu, but my new favorite is the scallop and pasta stuffed zucchini dish! Absolutely superb! Of course, the baby spinach salad and the chocolate molten cake are a must on EVERY visit regardless of the entree choice! The service is excellent and the ambiance, perfect! Whether you are looking for a nice dinner out or a place to celebrate a special occasion, Park Cafe is certainly the place to go! In addition, the wine list offers a unique listing of new and familiar wines. I have also appreciated through the years how management generously gives to the community. more

Best Steak in town! 11/14/2006

I love the food. Rember folks you get what you pay for. Everything I have tasted there is awsome!! Pros: Ambience, Valet Parking, Service.. it's all good. Cons: make your reservation more

Best date place 10/26/2006

Park Cafe is my favorite restaurant in town. The food is always wonderful as is the service. I highly recommend the tenderloin tail...and all of their apps. It is a nice romantic place to dine. more

WTF? 10/15/2006

This place is simply the best. I'm all for trying new things...but when 7 out of 10 reviews mention the scallops & gnocchi dish as a suggestion or their favorite dish anywhere....don't take it off the menu EVER! I was so disappointed my last visit to find it is no longer a ""standard"" after many years of being on the menu. The new scallop dish was not in the same league, actually it was mediocre in my opinon, and nothing at the Park Cafe is ever mediocre. Personally, I am not one for change. I'll still visit the park cafe on occasion and try to find a new dish I like. However, until I know that classic scallop dish is back, I'm going to try some other places. This may end up being a good thing. Chef Willie, if you were a popular singer, would you not do your best known song every performance? Without that dish it's still a great show, but like you forgot to include your greatest crowd pleaser. more

Delicious! 9/22/2006

Park Cafe is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. The food is consistently delicious & the service is always great. The decor is a bit cheesy, but the lights are dim, so it's not too distracting. Love the little window seat area... very romantic. I do wish they had kept the scallops & gnocchi dish on the menu. That was my favorite dish. I had the jumbo scallops the last time I went & they had grit in them. That was a bit disappointing. Try the pastry-baked brie with walnuts & raspberries for your appetizer. It's amazing. Deck seating is uncomfortable, so that's not recommended. Pros: great food, great service Cons: no more scallops & gnocchi!! more

Best in Nashville!!! 7/7/2006

I've been to Park Cafe on three different occassions, each time with different people, and every time has been a memorable and enjoyable experience. In the past six years that I've been in Nashville, I've been to just about every fine restaurant, but so far this is the best one. The menu is unique but not too overwhelming, they have new specials every night, and the dessert is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable as well. Also, the staff is always pleasant, and you never know what celebrity you might see there! I would definitely recommend everyone try this for themselves at least once. Otherwise, you are missing out on some of the best food in Nashville in my opinion! Pros: Food, atmosphere, price Cons: the "patio" seating is very uncomfortable more
