Best

Went here on a 1st date recently. Nice loungy atmosphere, very good service, tasty tapas and a very good drink selection. Plan on returning again. Pros: drinks, service, food

Worst

I wouldn't recommend this place for eating, especially since there are SO many other really good food options right next to Park Blue! Maybe this place is good for wine & hard liq...

Loved Park Blue 11/25/2008

Went here on a 1st date recently. Nice loungy atmosphere, very good service, tasty tapas and a very good drink selection. Plan on returning again. Pros: drinks, service, food more

Spend your money elsewhere! 11/21/2008

What a mistake!! From the minute we arrived, the female bartender was rude and unaccommodating. Every drink we ordered was met with some sort of ""problem"". Example - I ordered 2 bottles of champagne (on top of our $400+ tab) and she refused to allow me to pay for the bottles separately. After I protested, she sold them to my but added 20% gratuity to my check!! Overall, the staff was unpleasant, rude and utterly unwelcoming to my group. I would NEVER return and hope that in this recessed economy, you will spend your hard-earned dollars elsewhere!!! Pros: Lovely decord, convenient midtown location Cons: Unfriendly staff, expensive drinks more

Very Nice 9/24/2008

Excellent wine selection(many by the half bottle), good beer selection and a friendly staff make Park Blue a great choice. They serve tasty food as well in case you don't want to leave hungry. A Very nice spot indeed! Pros: Wine, Ambiance more

Delicious mini burgers. Great wine list. 7/18/2008

I met my friends at Park Blue after work last week. As I had never been there before, I didn't know much about it. I found the ambiance to be very relaxing and the service to be good. The mini burgers I had were delicious and they had a very extensive half bottle wine list. Highly Recommended Pros: Wine List, Burgers, Service more

Too Expensive! 7/12/2008

I wouldn't recommend this place for eating, especially since there are SO many other really good food options right next to Park Blue! Maybe this place is good for wine & hard liquor but their food is 'blah'. Went there with my friend and we ordered frisse salad, lardons, serrano ham and grilled baby octopus for sharing and waited about 30 minutes in between our two appetizers - not acceptable. SO disappointing. I won't be back there again. more

friendly and attentive staff 6/11/2008

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and attentive staff at Park Blue. I was a little overwhelmed by the large wine selection, but the hostess helped me navigate through the options. The food was great though overall the bill was a little pricey. This is a great place to start the night off with a few appetizers and a half bottle of wine. Pros: ambience, friendly staff, extensive wine menu Cons: price more

Loungy and lovely 5/31/2008

I loved this place! I opted for a cocktail as opposed to some of their fabulous wine selections. Friendly service, just a overall cute place. Pros: Cute ambience, large bar, wino's heaven Cons: nada more

Great for dinner or drinks 5/27/2008

I visited Park Blue on a Saturday night a few weeks ago with a small group. The bar and small dining room are sleek and attractive, but comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive and made good wine recommendations. The food was delicious--the arugula salad was fresh and balanced well by the citrus vinaigrette, the crisy tuna rolls featured a wonderful flavor combination, and truffle oil made the mac and cheese and the mushroom risotto really special. We were also treated to some complimentary drinks to celebrate the restaurant's third birthday. It was the perfect place to spend our last night in Manhattan. Pros: Location, atmosphere, food more

Park Blue is Really Good 5/21/2008

If you're looking for a nice, yet casual atmosphere for drinks, apps or a meal, Park Blue is a really good choice. The wine list is exceptional and they even have a a nice beer selection. I've had a few of the apps on the menu and they were all good(especially liked the mini burgers). Park Blue also makes for a perfect date location as its ambiance lends itself to relaxed conversation. Pros: Wine Selection, Food, Service more

Great Midtown Spot 3/27/2008

Park Blue is a very good place for after work drinks, conveniently located in midtown Manhattan. There is a very nice loungy atmosphere which is perfect to relax after a long day. They have an awesome half bottle wine selection as well as some nice beers to choose from. We had some finger foods too and they were quite good. I don't live in the neighborhood but if I did I'd be frequenting this place. Pros: Wine, Beer, Food, Atmosphere more

Great Date Spot, Loungy but way overpriced for MIDTOWN! 3/24/2008

Went here 2 weeks ago to meet someone for a drink. The staff was very nice, atmosphere small yet intimate and loungy. The prices were very $$$$. 3 drinks were $45.00 and I am talking 2 vodka sodas and 1 glass of house wine. Not sure I would go back Pros: Perfect place to take a midweek date for a drink and food Cons: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ EXPENSIVE!! more

Park Blue! 2/15/2008

What a nice find! Was looking for a good spot to take my wife for drinks and finger foods before a Broadway show. Park Blue was THE call. Nice inimate atmosphere with a large wine selection. Good food too! Pros: Ambiance, Wine more

Perfect Midtown spot 2/14/2008

I wish I knew about Park Blue a lot sooner. After going to the same after-work spots for years, I finally found Park Blue, on Citysearch. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere, excellent service, great wine & beer selection and very good appetizers(GREAT burgers). Park Blue is one of my new favorite places. Pros: Wine & Beer Selection, Food, Service more

smooth jazz, blue blue 2/10/2008

Great After Work Spot, Great drinks 1/30/2008

My friend & I were looking for a new spot to hang out after work and we found Park Blue on Citysearch. Good thing as we really liked Park Blue. Great wine(and beer list) and very good cocktails. The service was attentive and the finger apps were very good. The ambiance was really nice, thankfully, without loud distracting noise so we could actually have a conversation. Highly recommended. Pros: Drinks, Service, Ambiance more

Lobster Egss Benedict - need I say more 9/18/2007

Coming up from Florida, I did lots of research before we came to NYC. Once I saw the menu and saw Lobster Eggs Bendict, we decided we had to go. So, 11:30 PM on Thursday we went and OMG!! The food was unreal. The atmosphere is cozy and very romantic. Before the Lobster Eggs Benendict came out, our Grilled Baby Octopus over Chick Pea Stew came. My best friend was wary, not being an octopus eater, but after one bite she was done in. It was amazing. Then came the Eggs Benedict........what can I say? Perfection? A delight to all culinary senses??? Nothing I could say would do it justice. It was that good. After the Eggs Benedict came the Spicy Veal Meatballs over Creamy Polenta. Again, I could say nothing to do them justice. The polenta was perfect. This is a must do restaurant. not cheap, by any means, but well worth it. The Wake Me Up martini was also fantastic. Kudos to the chef and the super friendly staff. Pros: Amazing food and atmosphere Cons: A little pricey more

Great After Work Spot! 5/29/2007

Went to Park Blue on recommendations from friends. I'm quite a beer & wine snob and Park Blue delivered on both. Very good beer selection and a fantastic wine selection. The service was attentive and the small plates were quite delicious. The ambiance was perfect as well. Park Blue is a winner! Pros: Wine & Beer selection, service, ambiance, small plates more

leaves me blue in the wallet 5/4/2007

Went there on a thursday, the place was dead which is good because me and my date wanted quiet time. The service was excellent (probably because nobody was there) the music wasn't to my taste and I like listening to everything. The drinks were good and the food was tasty but the prices they charge for food is a little too high....a white castle sized cheesburger (which was absolutely delicious) costs 14 dollars.......just for the cheeseburger. It's a nice place to wet your whistle after work, but I don't think they'll be seeing me again simply because of the price Pros: decour, tasty food, service Cons: the price more

Not to shabby 4/28/2007

Park blue is nice, it's not great or anything to really rave about, but at the same time, that's what makes it that much cooler! It's small, comforting, sexxy though subtle, and just a nice romantic place to have a few drinks before going out (heavily). The tempura lobster is to DIE for, and this is coming from someone who will never eat lobster unless its just plain boiled with butter. The chocolate martinis, which I never drink because a) I'm a guy and b) I'm a guy, are amazing and I only had one because the bartender insisted... great call.\r \r I recommend it, a nice place to kick it low key. Pros: Great drinks and food, low key, service, ambiance more

Park Blue is a great place but it can be pricey. 4/17/2007

I live right around the corner from Park Blue. I usually go to Park Blue once every two months to conduct a little wine tasting with a friend of mine. My friend and I are adept at selecting good wines and for the best value. The wine selection at Park Blue is great but pricey. They have quality wines from around the world. When my friend and I ran out of ideas, the sommelier came over and provided a few suggestions based upon our tastes. He selected a wine that exceeded our expectations. Overall, the service is outstanding and extremely attentive. I always feel welcome and comfortable, which is ironic since Park Blue can give a person a pretentious feeling from outside the establishment. I have been to Park Blue during the week between 9pm and 11pm. The crowd was mellow and the place was busy. The snacks are small but good. I really haven't given the menu a full tasting since it is pricey. The wines are also expensive. A wine will cost double the retail price for a half bottle. It is a shame since I would love to visit twice a month to sample their wine list and to pick the sommelier's brain. When my friend and I can no longer afford a half bottle of wine, we switch to mixed drinks. A large drink equivalent to a double averages out to the same price of a martini in NYC. I definitely recommend Park Blue. I think you will like it, but I am not sure how often you can afford to go back. \r Pros: The atmosphere, wine selection, sommelier, service Cons: Price more
