Awful 5/1/2007

Deplorable. I work nearby and decided to give the Deli a try during my first week of work. Had a deli sandwich the first time, which could be described as generic and unimaginative. Meat was from a bag at Fry's, probably packaged several years prior to finding its way onto my sandwich. Which brings me to my next catastrophe. Had the potroast-and-potato-salad special the next time. Meat had decent flavor, but was absolutely drenched in sodium. This made me realize all the food in this joint comes from a box or a can, and that this place is like an aging cafeteria fortunate enough to be part of a small monopoly of restaurants near several very large businesses. Spent the rest of the day trying to quench my thirst from all the sodium preservatives still sticking to the inside of my mouth. Pros: location, location, location Cons: food more

I Just Love Miracle Mile 3/17/2005

I don't even live in Phoenix anymore, but did for a decade and a half. The memories of going to the Miracle Mile for a Straw and fries. MMMMMMMMM. Even when I have come back to visit, I sneak out and hit one of them. I used to hit the Chris Town one all the time and occasionally the one on Central, but usually when I have been back in town, I have been to the one on 20th and Camelback - which can't compete with those memories. But, I haven't been able to find a straw since I moved. more

Maybe not a Miracle 4/22/2003

The waitstaff really hustled behind the counter to try and conjure up a deli atmosphere, but the results were not as spectacular. While the hot pastrami was pretty good, the corned beef was so lean as to be flavorless. The portions were quite generous and the sides, including pickle and grated horseradish, were good. Pros: servers, horseradish, outside seating Cons: corned beef more
