Best

They have the best Margaritas and Enchiladas ever! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Pros: Good Food, Atmosphere, Good Liquor

Worst

It's too noisy and they give you too much food. Drinks are weak and expensive, because after two or three drinks--it's still too noisy.

This is a fun place. We go there after work to have a few drinks and snacks. I enjoy it and the food is good. Staff is friendly too. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 4/26/2013

I went here for business last week and it was excellent. Different from West Texas Mexican I normally eat but still very good. The tamales were outstanding with big chunks of meat and a delicious green sauce. I also love that they make the tortillas fresh and out in the open. Good stuff! more

Love the food here. Great fajitas. It's always a little noisy and often packed. Service is so-so. more

good for chain food 10/8/2010

Good food, very noisy, service up and down, good for a chain resturant more

Tex-Mex food 8/12/2010

I go there regularly and love the food. However, many times there is a long wait and we end up getting full eating all the chips. The guacamole is not at the peak of freshness- many times the avocados are not even ripe. The fajita platter is delicious though and i recommend it.When i order quesadillas they also usually end up being burnt. more

To Go Service is Consistently Off the Mark 3/17/2008

I have called in to go orders 3 times over the last 6 months and not once has it gone smoothly. Cons: Take out, Wait Time, Quality of Food, Staff Performance more

GREAT fajitas! 1/27/2008

Pappasitos has the best fajitas I have ever had (and I love fajitas). The charro beans there are also my favorite. The thing that drives me insane when I go to Pappasitos is their rendention of Happy BIrthday. It is incredibly loud and obnoxious and needs to be toned down. The drinks are overpriced and if you order the cheaper margaritas, you get what you pay for. The platinum is much better but also way too expensive. Pros: Great food Cons: Overpriced drinks, noise, OK service more

A bit pricey 2/2/2004

Great food, it's just a bit expensive... Plan on heading over early if it's dinner time! more

Too noisy 3/2/2003

It's too noisy and they give you too much food. Drinks are weak and expensive, because after two or three drinks--it's still too noisy. more

Come and Get it 2/7/2003

They have the best Margaritas and Enchiladas ever! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Pros: Good Food, Atmosphere, Good Liquor more

Mexibest 2/2/2003

My wife and I always order the large Chili & Onions Enchilada dinner and have them split it. It is so large it is more than enough to satisfy the two of us. And although they don't have to do it, they always bring us two complimentary bowls of charred beans. Because of the enormous size of Pappasito's and the ""barn"" layout, it is always noisy in these restaurants. However because we are addicted to their enchiladas and the beans, we suffer through the noise level. We just don't stick around long after eating. Pros: Taste of Food, Inexpensive, Friendly Cons: Noise, Noise, Noise more

Pappasito's in a nut shell 2/1/2003

Pappasito's food is decent; however, the atmosphere doesn't fit that of what a Mexican food restaurant should be. Almost all of the staff is young and inexperienced. It is too Americanized and too much like a franchise. There are a lot more Mexican restaurants in Houston that would be more worth your time. more

We'll drive half across the country 1/31/2003

We often go to Texas during our spring break and ALWAYS make it a point to eat at Papppasito's. A couple of times a different vacation for Spring break has been discussed but my husband always reminds us, ""but we can't eat at Pappasito's if we go there""! We all agree. more

Best Mexican Food in the world 1/31/2003

I drive from Albuquerque New Mexico to Dallas or Houston once A Month just to eat at Pappasito's Cantina. I have never had food this Great and the service is always Wonderful!! I wish Albuquerque would get A Pappasito's Cantina and show New Mexicans how Mexican food should be done. Thanks for the Great Food, Mike more

fajitas melt in your mouth 12/19/2002

the is no other butter sauce in town served with the fajitas like pappasito. Beef or chicken are wonderful. Would like thinner tortillas though. Pros: good food, price, best fajita more

Good food, horrible everything else! 12/17/2002

Horrible margaritas, service, atmosphere, waitstaff, and much too expensive. It reminds me of an overpriced McDonalds - herd 'em up, move 'em out! Horrible, I won't be going back. The only saving grace to this ""chain"" is the good food, but there are too many other options for good food - I'll save myself the aggravation. Pros: Food is good, chips/dip Cons: bad service, crowded atmosphere, horrible margaritas more

Mexican Extravaganza 12/16/2002

Pappasito's Cantina on I-10 east at Federal Road is a awesome experience. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and well groomed. The whole enviroment is energetic. It is calming to know that you are in good hands, there is always a manager in sight. On the weekend the wait can get long but you can pass the time at the lively bar. The bartenders are always up for talking and even when busy are always checking on you. It is truely a mexican food extravaganza. Pros: Weekend Specials, Large parking lot, Waitstaff Cons: Sometimes loud, tables are close more

WOW 12/15/2002

I have been there twice now and enjoyed it so much. I really loved the food and they had wonderful service. And the desert is to die for have the ice cream ball with coconut and pecans on it. YUMMY!!!!!!! more
