I asked if they used meat broth in their vegetable dishes, and they told me they do. I don't know why this made the Top Ten Vegetarian Restaurants list in 2001. Yuck!

A higher end Panda Express. Meaning that your served here instead of ordering food that is already cooked. Similar taste to Panda Express since it is the same company. more

Don't like 11/4/2010

Not very good. Rice is not fresh and shrimp is not in the right sauce. more

Panda In is always Great!!! 6/21/2007

One of my favorite restaurants of all time, reasonably priced. The bartender Gus is one of a kind. The Sunday Brunch is just over $20 and offers everything on the regualr menu plus two drinks. Check it out Pros: Free parking and a great drink Cons: Try to get a booth, avoid the tables more

Awesome chinese!!! 11/21/2006

My parents have been taking me here since I was a kid. Their food is incredibly consistent and very tasty. I would definitely come back! more

Went there for lunch with some co-workers. The food was typical chinese food, similar to P.F. Changs. If you are looking for something real authetic this is not a place to go. more

go somewhere else for REAL Chinese food. 7/21/2005

First off, I am pure-bred Cantonese, and I've spent more than 1/2 of my life in the city of Canton--so I am biased. This is my in-laws' favorite restaurant, but personally, I'd prefer Chinese food with more of a punch in flavor and smell. For authentic Chinese at a much lower price tag, go somewhere else in Monterey Park. Pros: Ambience, Parking, Good-looking dishes Cons: Price, Bland food more

One of the best Chinese restaurants in L.A. 6/26/2005

Yes, as one reviewer mentioned, this isn't the most authentic Chinese restaurant out there - it is quite americanized, very much like P.F. Chang's. However, if you like this type of Chinese restaurant - and I do - Panda is the king. The food is amazing - I recommend the Panda beef, sweet and pungent chicken, and orange chicken. I have eaten everything on the menu and almost everything is good. Service is usually attentive and friendly; only a few times have I received poor service. Portions are generous, and the fortune cookies are even awesome (chocolate dipped). I have taken every family member, friend, and relative that has ever visited me to Panda and every single one of them loved it. I recommend Panda to everyone; it is stellar in almost every respect. I go there once a week on average, and always will. Pros: Reasonably priced, Panda beef is amazing, Best fortune cookies more

Awesome experience 9/6/2004

Chinese food is Chinese food - it's supposed to be oily and greasy. If you want it real, that's the way it's gotta be. In any case, this is not an all-out Chinese food place. Definitely upscaled for the American population, yet the food is worth it! Before I went, I was thinking - upscale Panda Express: hellz no! Actually, their food is tasty - even for someone like me who doesn't eat fast food ""Chinese."" Portions are very generous as well. Service is good - not too in our face, yet available when we needed. Price is worth the up-scaled enviornment. more

Best in Pasadena 3/7/2003

The food is consistently great. Very fresh food and great portions. The Sunday brunch is the best in town for variety & value. The ambiance is beautiful. The servers are friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant! Pros: Lovely Decor, Delicious, Consistently Great! more

Second Best in Pasadena 6/7/2002

The Panda Inn is a well-established fixture in Pasadena. The restaurant was recently remodelled (Spring '02) and the menu changed extensively. The food is good, ambience and service more than adequate, and prices fair. The only squawk I have is that they have modified their recipte for sweet and pungent shrimp and it is not as good as before. It was my staple disk for my visits to Panda Inn. Pros: Nice decor, Good parking, Food better than avg Cons: S & P shrimp changed, Crowded on weekends, Menu shortened more
