Best

Parking is a pain in the Mish, but Pancho Villa Tacqueria is definately worth it, esp. with the coupon.

Worst

I wouldn't say this was the best Mexican food or burrito I've ever had, but it was okay. The burritos are a little too dry. With all the great Mexican places around that area, I...

The food at Pancho Villa is such demand that they've actually branched out to the Embarcadero, but my heart is with the original - the location on 16th between Mission and Valencia. The food is fresh, hot and tasty and the salsa bar is an added perk that gives it an edge over some of the other neighborhood favorites. Oh whoops. I always get this place mixed up with El Toro since they're run by the same people and serve exactly the same food. The difference is that Pancho Villa is the livelier of the two places. Not just that they have a bigger salsa bar, but this is where all rowdy Mexican guys with the cowboy hats come to drink corona, eat big plates of nachos, and listen to musicians crooning in Spanish. Best burrito in town! 9/22/2004

These are bar none the best burritos in SF. Head to the mission for the real deal- yes they actually melt the cheese into your tortilla first. Grab some Agua Fresca (watermelon is my fave) and chips and enjoy. If you are lucky, the mariachis will wander into the joint while you're dining! more
