Palmetto Home & Garden

I can say that I use to have this view of Palmetto Home & Garden, BUT, with the NEW location on Laurens from Woodruff road and the NEW OWNERS that are there each and everyday to actually take care of the business they have invested in, makes all the difference........this is NOT TARGET OR HOBBY LOBBY, this is a bit of EVERYTHING for EVERYONE.......all stores/vendors purchase items from a 'wholesaler' and YES, you will see repeat merchandise from time to time at different stores in the area, but I prompt you to find a better ONE STOP SHOP store than Pametto Home and Garden......they are brining in NEW VENDORS each and everyday that are trying to find a more user friendly venue for sales as the economy is finding its claim on each one of us in some shape or form. There has to be rules an regulations or it would become WAL MART return policy.......and as far as 'making an offer' on an item......would you go into any other Design Center and make an offer or even make an offer at Hobby Lobby for that matter??? I do not think so......I think you need to go and find out things like this for yourself or just ""LIKE"" them on FACEBOOK to see how many pleased people shop there........ more

I've had similar bad experiences with customer service. One gentleman is so rude that I dread it if I see him at the cash register. I vowed after the last time I was there that I would not return again. Something is seriously wrong with the attitude at this store. more

I'm not one for writing reviews online, but I just have to with this store. What a rip-off this place is. I found a very large hutch that I liked. It was way over-priced so I made an offer to the owner. He said that he could not call the vendor and ""insult them"" with a lower price. OMG. What about insulting the CUSTOMER?? The piece was priced at $3339 and I offered $2200. I am SO happy I didn't get it, because I went to End Up Furniture on Woodruff Road and spent $1500 (including tax and delivery) on a piece that is a million times better. Don't waste your time or money at this store. Oh, also, I can't believe the vendors in this place are trying to sell things from Hobby Lobby for 10 times what they cost at Hobby Lobby. NO LIE!!!!! more

I can't understand why Susan from Asheville had such a horrible experience. If she has been doing business there for years she should be well aware of the approval policy the store promotes. All customers are asked when checking out items if it is a purchase or approval. The policy gives the customer until 6pm the following day to see if the item will work for them. Refunds are not given at the store because of the large number of vendors that sell within the store. The approval policy is also clearly visible at each register. I love shopping at Palmetto. The employees are friendly and will help the customer in every way possible. Becky and Richard Basham, the owners, are very knowledgable of the merchandise and very helpful and friendly. Shopped for years here purchasing furniture, rugs, accessories for the home, then the one time I purchase two pictures that when taken home realized didn't go with decor, bought on Sun afternoon, called Mon morning to inquire re returning, was told by Becky, store owner that she would call me back. She never called, gave me run around, offered to buy back or give me store credit, then reneged, put husband Richard on line, who laughed at my problem, told me he didn't have to do anything and never come back to store or he would call police. These people need course on customer service! Pros: There are some nice vendors areas/merchandise Cons: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RETURN ITEMS TO THIS STOR more
