Second purchase through Palmetto Ford dealership. First was in 2006. This experience started with excellent on-line response from Dan Lentz who was able to come up with exactly the car and price we were looking for before we even stepped foot on the lot. Dan was off on Saturday when we could get to the dealership and we worked with John Miller as our salesman to close the deal. He and Mike Kalinowski -- the financial manager --- were absolutely wonderful: professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Ron Austin and Brandon Fleetwood rounded out the experience with their help to see that we got the car we wanted for the price we wanted. We are very pleased and highly recommend the dealership. Ask for John Miller if you stop by. A+++. more

I recently purchased a 2013 Explorer from Palmetto Ford and it was an awesome experience. Prior to going to the dealership I called and spoke with the finance manager Mike and he gave me a ton of great information. I am always skeptical going to car dealerships because they are not known for their honesty but everything that I was told prior to making the trip up there was true. When I arrived at the dealership Mike introduced me to my salesman Kelvin who was super friendly from the beginning. He right away took me out to start seeing what all I was going to want in my Explorer. He was very patient with my 2 year old son and made me feel at ease with the whole car buying process. Managers Bruce and Scott were also very helpful in making my deal happen. I explained I had been working very hard to be able to get this vehicle and I really wanted to be able to make a deal. They worked all day on my trade amount and getting a great finance rate. After all the paperwork was done and I was presented with the keys, the internet manager came out to my vehicle and spent 30 minutes explained everything about the technology in my vehicle and how to work it so I would be comfortable using it. I really appreciate the amazing service I received there and it was refreshing to walk away from the dealership being able to say I had a great experience. THANK YOU PALMETTO FORD!!! more

If you need service go anywhere but here. I have been to Palmetto Ford twice for service and have been anything but satisfied. The service is slow and the staff is less than helpful. I have a F250 that ran great until I took it there for an oil change and to get the other fluid levels topped off. I couldn't believe the expenses incurred for these simple tasks! When I went to pick up the truck they assured me it was ready. The two associates I dealt with were propped up on a desk gossiping. The truck hadn't been washed as promised, and nobody could find the keys. Since then the engine knocks and the exhaust blows out more smoke than a factory! more

Will Therieau went above and beyond with customer service. I had been pricing new trucks here in SC, GA, NC, and Texas. After all of my research, I knew what it was that I wanted. I just needed the best price to fit my budget. I visited all of my local dealers and was met with typical bullish and deceptive behavior. It was never straightforward and concise with the simple question of price. Will answered my many questions and took my numerous phone calls with patience each time. I felt I actually had a voice at the negotiating table. As an out of town client, I felt confident when I made the trip down to Charleston to buy my new truck. Late on a Saturday night, after hours, Will was waiting for me as my schedule was just too tight to make regular store hours. I was in and out in under 20 minutes and back on the road home with my new 2012 F250! My buying experience could not have been better! And I saved well over $1,500 over everyones' best pricing. I would recommend Palmetto Ford highly, and if you're lucky, Will Therieau will be there to help You. Thanks Will! more

This dealership provided me with excellent service, above and beyond what I would have ever expected. They went out of their way to assist me, even though I was a credit score nightmare (in my mind), they showed me how they could help me get out of my 14 year old vehicle and into a brand new 2013!\r \r I love my new vehicle and I'm very impressed with the excellent, professional service provided by everyone from the receptionist to my salesman, Bob Goddard, Mike Kalinowski and his patience with all my gazillion questions, Bruce, (I believe he's the GM of sales) and a huge thanks to Dan for taking the time to help me set up my Sync. \r \r They never made me feel as a second rate client and took all the time needed to make sure I was taken care of! I definitely will be coming back to this dealership and referring anyone I know is in the need of another vehicle!\r more

Fraud, NEVER GO HERE 1/15/2012

Palmetto Ford Lincoln sounds reputable, but its NOT. I went to Palmetto Ford for a basic oil change and came out with them telling me that I needed $500 + worth of new parts. Even though I am a female, I am an educated female who knew this was not true so I waited until I got a 2nd opinion. I called several other places for quotes on the parts that Ford Lincoln recommeded that I receive. In the end I was told by a more reputable mechanic that they were attempting to scam me by making me get new parts for my car when in reality my car was 100% fine. I will NEVER go back to Palmetto Ford Lincoln and will encourage EVERYONE else that I know to never go to Ford either. Cheating people out of money during difficult economic times is unmoral. more

Charleston's Best Ford Sales Consultant 8/31/2011

I just purchased a brand new Ford Fiesta at Palmetto Ford. The staff & service have been amazing. I especially wanted to acknowledge Gary French, who is the most personable, helpful, & genuinely nice car sales consultant I have ever met....and I have met a lot! He made sure that someone showed me how to use all of the tech features before I drove off the lot, including helping me sunc my phone. I also brought the car back the next day and dropped it off to have the 1st Place Finish fabric protection done. Since I work an hour away, and the process takes at least 3 hours, Gary waited for me to get out of work yesterday to drop the car off, and then gave me a car to drive to work while mine was being serviced. He made sure I had a car that was fully gassed, and he went and grabbed my car as soon as he saw me pull in the lot today. I would definitely recommend Palmetto Ford to others & I will be directing them to Gary. more

service department not up to par 11/17/2010

I took my vehicle in to this place with a starting problem. They said it needed a new fuel pump. had that done along with fuel filter and full fuel system cleaning. Took it home, two days later it starts but then acts as though its going to die. So I take it in again, and explain that it seems to have a spark knock also. They say it needs a new IAC valve. After test driving the vehicle the tech diagnosis the knock not as a spark knock but thinks that it has rod knock and says it also has a vibration. The only diagnosis he can come up with is that it needs a new engine. I get a second opinion and the fuel system cleaning must have been done poorly because the problem was a clogged fuel injector, along with a bad transmission mount causing a vibration. I wouldn't take my vehicle back here for fear of what they might mis-diagnose next! They did however resolve the newly clogged fuel injector at no cost, once it was diagnosed. I then had all other repairs done at a different shop. more

Good truck bad people 12/16/2009

My husband purchased a New 2010 pickup truck from Palmetto ford, The two things he ask for was a extended cab and satilite\r radio. Well he worked a deal for the shorter cab but was told and even had a inservice on how to use the satilte radio, was told to go home have it connected and enjoy. Long story short the truck did not come with it, has a button but no satilite radio. Went back was told they could have it installed for X amount of dollars. My husband works for a company where they purchase work trucks at least every four to five years, I hope he has learned his lessons and where not to go in the future to purchase a truck no matter how Red it is. Momma you should be ashamed of your boys. I have lived in charleston all my life and I have never been able to buy a car from palmetto ford for one reason or the other I warned him, some people never listen and some things never change. I purchased my new car from Baker on on 17 few doors down the best of the best they are not sales men they are family people and treat you as if they have known you all your life. What a great group of women and men.\r Love my Baker. Cons: dishonest people more

Most efficient car buying experience I have ever had. Best sales staff. Will never go anywhere else. 9/4/2008

I have bought several automobiles in my life and it seems to be the same thing everytime. it's almost like there is a class for car salesman to become robots. I decided to visit palmetto Ford simply because the Lincoln dealership I used in the past closed there doors. I am glad they did. I called up and got perfect directions from the nice young lady that answerd the phone. I had already set up a time to meet my salesman by just calling ahead and inquiring about the Lincoln. When I arrived at the dealership the same gentleman (Jeff Holloway) that set up my vist was there wth the car I wanted to see. It was pulled in the shade on the front porch of the dealership. I am a person that is sold on honesty and first impressions. Palmetto Ford has the first impression down. Turns out they have the honesty thing down too. Never once did I feel like I was being taken for a ride. ha.ha.\r I guess what i am really trying to say is that whatever school that Palmetto Ford is sending there salesman is the one that every other dealership should enroll in. If I ever need anything I know I can call on Jeff and Palmetto Ford to help me in any way.\r ~~~M. M. more
