For those of you who want to get college credit and roll through your first year of classes at college, forget AP classes and private school. The IB program at Palmer trains you to be a hard-working, motivated student, with competent abilites in ALL subjects. Plus, IB projects outside regular classes provide an opportunity to pursue some personal interest areas. While IB had some difficulty with recognition for years, most colleges now understand what the program demands and how it differs from AP.
And the best part of all this is that Palmer is a public school...meaning it's free! (The IB tests, numbering 6 and administered at the end of the junior or senior year, cost a fair chunk of change ~$700 total.
