Thai food is one of my favorite, and I have had been to many thai restaurant. I have to admit I'm a bit picky when it comes to food. I ordered the Coconut soup with chicken, and...

Best Overall Thai Restaurant 6/11/2002

This place has delicious food, great entertainment, and is not pricy. Some of their best dishes include: Spicy beef salad, shrimp fried rice, bbq chicken, spicy noodle soup, and pad thai more

Pad Thai vs. Fluffer-Nutter 6/5/2002

This place is great. I have brought out-of-towners here multiple times and they are always impressed. The food is yummy, the entertainment is hilarious and the crowd is usually fun (but lately, a little too much of the ""hipster"" crowd for my taste). I must say, the wait can feel unbearable, but it is worth it. Also, they are open very late and Palms Thai is great for post-partying noshing (unfortunatley, sans Elvis). Enjoy! Pros: Food, Elvis, Price Cons: Long Wait, Pretentious Hipsters, Parking more

ELVIS ELVIS ELVIS 6/4/2002

This is the best thai place in LA...You got nice waitresses, great authentic thai food and elvis seranading you while you hang out with your friends...what more can you ask for? Don't forget to order some thai iced tea... Pros: good food, great ambience, mixed crowd more

A Big Ol' Hunk of Burnin' Panang 5/21/2002

This restaurant rocks! I've brought so many different people there: dates, family, out of town friends, friends I haven't seen in years ... everyone. The food is delicious -- I recommend the beef salad and duck curry. Leave the pad thai to other restaurants. Be more daring and order the wild boar curry. Oh, and don't try to impress anybody by ordering your food any hotter than mild. Mild will make your eyes water. Even more than the food, Thai Elvis is the real attraction here. He usually goes on around 7:30, so I would recommend getting there before 7pm. He will take requests for special occassions, but bear in mind that's he does a much better ""old Elvis"" than a ""young Elvis"" (i.e. ""My Way"" is good, ""Hound Dog"" is not as good). Pros: cool performances, inexpensive meal Cons: long weekend waits, not a full bar more

One-of-a-Kind Dining 5/16/2002

Love this place--good food, unique atmosphere. Thai Elvis? Genious! And others I've seen on stage are equally entertaining in that kitschy, I-can't-believe-I'm-really-seeing-this kind of way. In fact, last fall, while Thai Elvis was on tour in Thailand, some friends and I caught his replacement, Armenian Elvis. This place, in my experience, is always a safe bet for a good time. Pros: Live entertainment Cons: Long lines more
