Best

I love this place, they have so much variety of dishes! Everything is way so good!! Great place to do family style and share! Pros: Variety of delicious dishes

Worst

Thai food is one of my favorite, and I have had been to many thai restaurant. I have to admit I'm a bit picky when it comes to food. I ordered the Coconut soup with chicken, and...

Bada-bang for your buck...and yes...it's delicious! 3/28/2008

Where can you get awesome Thai food? Thai Town of course. Food is excellent, price is nice, cool jumpsuit elvis, easy access off freeway, and clean. Definitely will make a trip back here. Pros: Great deal, wide menu options, Elvis and easy freeway access more

Godawful 3/3/2008

Truly horrible food -- disintegrating shrimp in the TomYum, chicken that could have been any other meat under the sun, ghastly in all ways. I actually liked the service -- there was a very sweet person who took our order. But I'll never go near this place again. Try Pink Pepper on LaBrea -- that's real Thai and only a mile or two away. Pros: big room and quirky charms Cons: horrible food more

The worst Thai food in Los Angeles 1/26/2008

This food is really bad. Tasteless, bland, horrible. The service is even worse: rude, slow, and dumb. Never go here. There are so many better places. Cons: Everything more

Great Thai food and a fun time out! 1/20/2008

I've been here several times and their Pad Thai is still my favorite in the area. Their lunch specials are so inexpensive and very filling. Also, at night, their entertaining ""Thai Elvis"" is wonderful. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a nice staff, nice environment (quiet in the day, fun at night), and great food for not that much money. Pros: food and entertainment Cons: the valet (but its worth it) more

Bland food, pay to park, cheap and should be, found hair in food,,,,,,bad experience 10/17/2007

my wife and i love Thai food and while passing Palm Thai we noticed a big room with a large crowd eating so we pulled in, As we entered the parking garage the only place to park) we were stopped by the valet who informed us that we have to leave our keys so we couldnt take off without paying, I wish we would have declined and left at that point, They were pretty rude too, We walked into a large loud festive room with a guy singing and playing guitar,,,,seemed ok, Our waitress arrived quickly and we ordered drinks and she asked if we were ready to order (a little pushy for me) we did order appetizers which arrived very quickly. My wife noticed a long black hair (not her color) they were appologetic and said they would give another. Meanwhile we ordered our dinner. Before i didnt finish half a drink of beer and out come the meals,,,,prob less than 10 min obviously pre cooked and we were still waiting for our hairless appetizers to arrive. My wifes crab legs were immitation. Overall the food was not bad but got worse the more you ate, The waitresses seemed hurried and talked on little earphone setups to be more efficient i guess...the place was as romantic a mc donalds. We will NEVER eat at what I call McThai again. PS; they never even offered to comp the hairy appetizer and by then i didnt care anymore, There are many Thai places to eat in Hollywood, dont waste you time eating at this one.....this is the worst Thia ive had in Hollywood. I strogly believe that most of the reviews are writin by ownership of this restaurant.... Pros: The beer was good, large menu, cheap Cons: parking rip off, hair in food, food was not that good, i believe the good reviews were writin by owners more

Cheap Food and Entertainment 10/15/2007

We were in the mood for thai food and found this spot on Sunset. The food was great and cheap and the Thai Elvis was hiarious. You can take a group of friends and just hang out and get some laughs. The place is decorated nice and they have long tables for groups. No need to make a reservation. Pros: parking structure, atmosphere Cons: service more

First, they have an Elvis impersonator. Also, great food... 7/25/2007

First, they have an Elvis impersonator. Also, great food, especially when you get tofu. The pad thai is... more

Great food for price, slow service 6/13/2007

Food is great for the price. I love their more exotic menu (frog legs, wild boar), and the garnishes were very fresh. Place is a little large and loud, and tables are cafeteria-style, good for big groups, but not at all for intimate dates. Unfortunately, my food came way before my companion's, and I waited at least 10 minutes with my food cooling waiting for hers to arrive. Not only that, but my side of plain rice arrived five minutes before my entree! What am I supposed to do with that? Came on a night when the karaoke guy wasn't around, but I can assume it's pretty fun. Pros: Great food, variety Cons: Slow service, loud and cafeteria tables more

Really great Thai food at excellent price 5/26/2007

Went here last night to introduce my boyfriend to Thai food, which he claimed he ""thought"" he didn't like. Well was he wrong. He loved it. We got there (no reservations) and only had to wait liek 5 minutes to be seated at aroudn 8:30pm Friday night. We sat at the bar and had a Singha and a Thai Iced Tea ($6 for both). Pros: Food, Location, Price, Cheap Eats more

Best Thai in LA! 4/22/2007

I've been going to Palms for the past couple of years however it took years of mediocre Thai restaurants to find. The Pad See Ew is one of the best I have ever had as is the fried rice ( I like the combo). It does get crowded but don't let that deter you because the food comes out quickly. My meals have been rather consistent. Some of my favorite dishes are the BBQ pork, BBQ beef with garlic and lime, and their sticky rice is to die for! If the food alone doesn't get you, Thai Elvis will. He is actually quite good and if you are even luckier, the bartender will sing a few songs (he is a great impersonator!) I agree with others that the valet is quite sketchy and I feel at times that they take my car around the curves too quickly and are reckless in parking the cars. Pros: great food, low prices, Thai Elvis Cons: sketchy valet more

WATCH OUT!!! 4/1/2007

I went to Palms Thai on Friday night and found the food to be OK. We ordered two dishes -- the Pad Thai was fine but the in other stir-fry noodle dish had a vegetable that was not cleaned properly (it tasted like dirt/sand) Pros: Pad Thai was okay Cons: Everything else including the shady valet parking service more

Very impressed. 3/31/2007

I came here to eat with a couple of girlfriends, one who is Thai. She was so very impressed with the authenticity of the food, as was I. We ordered quite a few dishes, and they were prepared very well, and served similarly to the way they would be served in Thailand (or so I was told). Even the Thai iced-tea had a distinctly better taste to it than most that I have had. Our servers were very friendly and even gave us directions to some of the best Thai dessert houses which were just down the road. The only thing I regret is that we were not there when the Thai Elvis performed, and our valet parking attendant left an alcohol-like smell in our car. Small details :) more

Awesome service 2/7/2007

Besides the great value and unbelievable Phad Thai the service is top-notch. Ask for Wandee. She works on Sundays and her great smile and charm never disappoints! Enjoy! Pros: Service (esp on sundays) Cons: yet to find one more

More than just hype 11/20/2006

Maybe you came because you heard about the Elvis, but the food and cheap pricing will win you over. I've been going to this establishment since before they moved. Trust, from someone who used to live in Thailand and still goes there often, this is good Thai food. Pros: good food, cheap prices, Elvis more

Come for the food, stay for the Thai Elvis 10/18/2006

Awsome Thai food, great selection, friendly staff, tons of seating, easy parking, clean. Try going on a Tuesday or Thursday night to see Thai Elvis (great idea for date). more

Drool... yum...don't talk to me, i'm eating...yum 10/12/2006

yum... Pros: food, and quick service Cons: get crowded and loud, esp when wraiters drop things more

You really can't find better entertainment anywhere in town... 9/19/2006

There really is nothing better than a small Thai man wearing patent leather (extremely shiny) black platforms and a taupe. It truly made my night. The food was very good (with the exception of the soup, it tasted vaguely like an armpit), but if nothing else, you MUST go to see this guy perform. As you eat, you sit pondering weather you're at a really awkward wedding reception or an underbudget bar mitzvah, and it's GREAT. You're guaranteed a great time with lots of suppressed laughter. Hail to Elvis. Pros: Highly entertaining Cons: Soup is horrendous more

Good food and cheap 9/2/2006

Grest Thai food in town! Guarantee by Thai. Even Thai people love it too! Cheap and convinean! classy Thai food and the real Thai taste! more

Great Food & Entertainment 8/1/2006

We took our grandmother there for her birthday. The place is very busy/loud, the food is as good as it gets, and Elvis is entertaining. Pros: food, entertainment Cons: can be too loud and too packed more

Yum Yum 5/11/2006

I like their morning glory (ong choy). Their shoo shee shrimp was awesome. Most of the dishes I've had are great, and many are just good, but, you have to know what to order, as some of the dishes aren't so special. I'm not sure if it's authentic, but, i like it. Also, I'm not sure, but I think the cook(s) defected from Ruen Pair, because at one point several years ago, the food at Palms got much better (and the lines at RP got a lot shorter) and Elvis moved from the food court to Palms. Then Palms got a website and moved to the current location. Pros: food, parking more
