Some women have complained about how cold the water in the swimming pool is. It is supposed to be a heated pool, but the water is Not warm. A heated pool should be between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. I have been two different temps by two different guards. One guard said it is supposed to be 82 degrees, the other 72 degrees. I do not think it is 82 degrees. Also, the big glass doors are usually open, so if cold air is blowing into the pool area, it is cooling the water off. When I asked a manager about the water temperature and told him that women were complaining, he said, ""No customer is going to tell me what to do."" I would think he would be interested in pleasing the customers and checking the temperature. I do not see a pool thermometer anywhere and wonder what the temperature really is. Bottom line, I have been there when a cold water hose was feeding cold water into the pool, and in the winter, it was really cold. I have been in a heated pool in Florida, in winter, and it is warm! This is Not a warm pool. The hot tub, on the other hand is 104 degrees, too hot, but the manager thinks this is ""standard"". The fact is 100 degrees is standard and blood boils at 108. I think all of the hot water is going into the hot tub that should be used to warm the big pool. In any case, too warm is as bad as too cold. Bacteria grow in water that is too warm and I keep getting a jock itch after visting this pool/spa. I don't know if it is the children or what, but noticed bubbles in the water of the pool one day, which indicates sewage in the water. Clean water does not have bubbles floating on its surface. I think the management has a bad attitude towards customers. From where I come from: if you do not have customers you do not have a job, customers pay your salary. The customer is your boss. Humility is the root of nobility. I find the management is arrogant, argumentative and not interested in health and safety. Period. more

If you could rate the food at less than one star... 6/28/2009

What a shame. Who ever owns this now, the banquet food is Awful: supermarket mixed vegetables undercooked; ""grilled"" eggplant slices raw inside; 1/4"" slices of fat-free, off the bone, reheated, treated, well-done ribs of beef slathered in some sauce and micro-waved roasted potatoes either raw in the middle or burned and mushy. A dish of inexpensive vanilla ice cream was offered for dessert along with a plate of discount store frozen 'pastry' but served without dessert dishes. The cocktail hour food was a bit nicer, but served in such minutely portioned pieces that it was embarassing. Several slices were cut from what turned out to be two poor quailty carving roasts, but no server stood by (nor was cutlery left behind) to serve more to other guests. On the other hand, to be fair, the servers were excellent and the view of the nyc skyline was magnificent. Save your money and make your plans elsewhere!! Where's Gordon Ramsey!!! I'm just upset I spent so much money. Pros: The View at night is nice. Cons: The expensive banquet food is another story. more

poor service; okay food, great view 2/13/2009

I am quite skeptical about the previous review on this place. After doing plenty of research on different wedding banquet sites, I do find that this place does have negative reviews overall in terms of their service and food provided. The wedding manager is probably the strongest reason why customers ended up staying away from this venue, despite its terrific hudson river view. I recommend that anyone who's interested in this place NOT discuss their terms with Suzy Ahn as it can be quite a horrifying experience. Pros: very nice viiew of the hudson river!! Cons: Suzy Ahn more
