Horrible, Unprofessional & Sloppy 1/16/2010

now call my left eyebrow ""Baldy"" and my right eyebrow ""CheckMark"". Read on to find out why. I made an appointment with Priti after seeing all the great reviews. I usually get my eyebrows threaded with someone else but Palasa Esthetique is extremely close to me and I needed to get them done quickly. My eyebrows were getting out of hand! I have to say, her tiny space makes a great impression - soothing, relaxing and clean. Loved it. I told her what I wanted and she instantly got to work. She took her time and was gentle, though it hurt more than usual. After she was done, about 10 minutes, she let me see her work. My first thought was, this looks terrible. My left eyebrow was trimmed way too much, in the middle, where the arch was. There is basically a noticeable bald spot in the middle of my eyebrow. I was not pleased with this and politely let Priti know. She explained to me that it was the way my hair grew and that I was looking at it closely, that's why I can tell. ...Really?!! I pay her, a professional, to thread my eyebrows. She does this daily. As a professional, you come across a lot of different types of eyebrows. Maybe my eyebrow hair does grow funny, but she should have known how to handle this instead of trimming too much off. And yes, I talk with people face-to-face: they're going to notice the bald spot too! On top of having a bald spot in my eyebrow, Priti didn't offer ANY apology. She tried to convince me that it was my hair, not her. Her solution to this mess? ""Just put a little eyeliner."" Wow, thanks for the tip. I never put eyeliner in my eyebrows but looks like I'll need to for awhile. Funny because the other woman who normally threads my eyebrows has done it perfectly since day 1. She charged me $9 for a sloppy threading job, and I tipped her $2 - a very gracious tip, if you ask me. When I got home, I asked my boyfriend if he noticed anything different with my eyebrows. HE POINTED TO THE RIGHT EYEBROW! I looked closely and noticed that she trimmed it WAY TOO MUCH AGAIN and made it look like a sharp check mark. I could cover this mistake up, thank GOD! I took off the eyeliner and my bf pointed at the bald spot. So yes, it's not just me. It's noticeable. It's there until my eyebrows grow out again. I'm never going to Palasa Esthetique again and will never recommend anyone to go here! Pros: price Cons: everything else more
