Worst Service Ever! 2/15/2011

Worst service Ever! It started off with our hostest either drooled onto the reservations list or snot ran out of her nose, my husband and I couldn't decide. Either way it was very gross and we almost walked out then. Our food arrived and I ordered the scallops and risotto. The price was $16.99 and I only got 5 scollops and most of them were small. They were either overcooked or undercooked! The flavor was beyond bland. I told the waiter about the issues and he got irritated and grabbed the plate and walked away without asking me if I would like anything else or even apologizing! I can handle a bad batch or a possible mistake on the kitchen, but to handle my complaint in that manner was unprofessional and uncessary! My husband and I were so disgusted by the service, that we boxed up his food ,paid the way overpriced Veal and left. Before we left, I noticed that the table behind us were struggling to get the waiters attention for a refill and they seemed annoyed as well. The only nice thing I can say is that it is a cute atmosphere and it was Valentine's Day and they had rose petals on the table. We will NEVER go back! more

Mehhhhhhh Coccca 6/8/2010

I eat here a lot. Its good food and there is an awesome retarded old man waiter with a glorious comb over. He mumbles when he talks and barely makes sense. He's totally creepy and makes all the ladies feel uncomfortable. I'm also heard they make him live in the bathroom at night curled up behind the toilet. If your looking for good food and an awesome tardo to watch go here!!! Pros: Awesome retarded waiter Cons: No puppet shows more

dfw best hidden gem 5/10/2010

took my mother there for our first time, the place was packed and there was an hour wait but they where nice enough to make sure that we had a drink and a waiting seat untill there was a table ready for us. Once we got seated the fresh bread and garlic olive oil arrived at the table. We ordered wine from the waiter and ordered the entrees which came with a house salad that was to die for. It came with creamy italian dressing that was amazing, the best salad and dressing that i have ever had, wish they can bottle and sell it. loved every bit of our time at paesanos and dont forget to try the desserts. Pros: cozy, service, food, desserts Cons: hidden more

Not very good 11/30/2009

After reading all the great reviews we were looking forward to our first meal there and it was terrible! Garlic from a jar for the dipping sauce, the Italian dressing for the salad tasted sweet and sugary, the Chicken Parmesan was tough, the pomodoro was bland and the whole thing was topped with rubbery sliced cheese. The cakes on display in the refrigerated case not only looked old, they were severely lopsided. Even the after dinner mints were stale. I could not believe we spent money for that and the completely empty parking lot should have been our clue. Pros: friendly staff Cons: food, dreary dining room during the day more

REAL HOMEMADE ITALIAN 9/11/2009

I eat out a lot because we hate to cook. I found Paesanos and have loved it every time more because i become more familiar with the family that owns and the waitstaff. We love the fresh italian food dishes that are served and the big portions that are served so we have left overs to take home. We have a family of five and we are able to eat here for less than 60 dollars, which is awesome for the quality of food that is served Pros: excellent food, great atmosphere, personal service Cons: big portions more

A Favorite 5/27/2009

This place is a favorite and we just keep coming back here. Excellent food and I think everyone that eats here loves their bread and dipping sauce.\r \r You can't beat their good prices and helpful waiters. I think this is going to be on our list of favorites for years to come. more

Excellent Potato Soup 7/5/2007

After reading all reviews about this restaurant, I decided to try it out myself. I went on a very rainy day with my children. The bread was excellent hot and fresh. The garlic dipping oil was okay, it tasted like they used jar garlic, so it wasn't my favorite. The potato soup I got as an appetizer was INCREDIBLE! I would visit again just for that. The service was quite attentive. My glass was never half empty and niether were my childrens glasses. I ordered the canneloni and it was rich and wonderful. I tasted a meatball, but it was dry and not tasty, but the lasagna was good. Oh, the house dressing is very delicious as well. All in all, I would go back, but it didn't take the place of my favorite Italian Restaurant. If you want fresh bread AND olive/garlic dipping sauce try Abocas in Richardson!!! Their Chicken Aboca is to DIE FOR!!! Pros: Great service Cons: Hard to find. It is hidden behing Avis on the access road of 75. more

Family atmosphere, unique, relaxed experience, great food 7/4/2007

From the outside, tucked behind the Avis rental spot... you wonder what this white building is... but it's a true gem of a restaurant that operates like a big family. Great food, relaxing atmosphere... a place you keep coming back to. In fact, the more you return, the more likely you are to enjoy and be recognized as family by the owners and wait staff.\r \r Not really structured or formal so those wanting this environment will not enjoy... for those who like an informal setting where food and hospitality are key will enjoy. And if you're in a hurry, it can be a bit slow at times as the staff crank things out of their smaller kitchen...but hey, that's part of the fun... relax, slow down and sip some wine while enjoying this experience. Munch on the home made Italian bread and awesome garlic-laced olive oil (did I mention it has garlic in it -- truly mouth watering).\r \r Specials never change... the Asso Buco is always top of the list... it's awesome! From the menu, the veal (in various styles available) is always tender and a treat. The Baked Penne is my wife's favorite... and the soup (Potato and Minestrone) are both terrific. Always plentiful portions and enough to take home for enjoyment a day or two later.\r \r Highly recommended! Pros: casual environment, outstanding food, friendly like family more

Slow service 5/30/2007

My two co-workers and I could not be served in 40 minutes. We had to get our order to go when it finally arrived because it took so long. We were the only customers in the restaurant. more

Disappointed 5/25/2007

We had heard good things about this place but we were pretty disappointed. The shrimp was really tough and chewy (both in the scampi and the mixed seafood dish), and the other seafood we tried wasn't exciting either. The meatballs were very bland. We've had real Italian food in Italy and at other authentic Italian restaurants in the area, and this didn't compare. A family member had the veal picata and really liked it. Salad and bread was very good. Service was okay. Pros: Prices, portions Cons: Food quality more

Friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant 8/22/2006

Hidden behind the Braums off 15th street and another restaurant on the access road to 75, Paesano's is easy to miss. But you shouldn't. Authentic Italian food from authentic Italians, not some big-box chain. Paesano's starts you off with delicious, fresh-baked bread with garlic and olive oil spread, and they keep it coming. The menu is reasonably priced and the portions generous, with all the Italian classics, including an excellent stromboli and some seafood gems. More of a crowd for lunch than dinner, almost empty on Sundays. more
