You cannot get vet care for free 12/8/2010

This is for Kenneth D. I have taken my pets to pacific veterinary hospital for years. They have always been kind and gentle with my animals. I have had many different kinds of pets including dogs and cats. They prices that you mentioned are reasonable. Any other vet clinic would have charged you three times the amount for the same service. I know because I have checked all the vet clinics within a 60 mile radius of were I live. I live 20 minutes below stockton and drive to this vet every time. I also refer all of my family and friends to this vet because of the great service and prices. The nurses and doctors have to ask you if you would like the special shot packages and such otherwise how would you know what services they provide for your animal. Asking a pet owner and giving them an option for shot packages and medical care is not being money hungry. It tells me that they care enough about your pet to offer you all of thier services for the benifit of your pet. more

APBT owner Not Happy with Pacific Veterinary Hospital 10/11/2009

I will no longer take my dogs to Pacific Veterinary Hospital. I am not impressed by the new doctor (Dr. Patterson) and staff there. I took my dogs in for their annual shots and they insisted on doing a physical exam, which only involved taking their temperatures, and body weight. The doctor did not do any kind of hands on exam, or use a stethoscope to listen to the heart and lungs, nothing. She asked me if I had ever been talked to about heart worms, I said yes of course. In the San Joaquin valley the risk of heart worm infection is slim to none, knowing this I still agreed to have my dogs blood tested for the parasite (which the Dr. referred to as a disease). The results were negative, then when it was time to pay the bill they wanted to sell me a twelve month supply of heart worm prevention medication (of their choice), which I told them I did not want. Also, the Doc wanted to do a dental cleaning, without even examining my dogs teeth (which were recently cleaned!)... business must b more

best vet in town 2/19/2009

I have taken all of my animals to this vet for many years. They have excellent staff and very knowledgable and helpful vets. \r \r When my cat got sick they did everything they could to save her. They helped me when I needed financial help. They worked with me to treat her. She ended up having hipatic lipidosis and after extensive testing, treatment, and care, her liver still failed and she passed away.\r \r After paying nearly 2,000 dollars in vet bills I just barely had enough to have her cremated. They worked with me in a sensitive way and I was able to cremate her. They gave me a lovely box and they were very kind in my time of grief.\r \r They always are gentle with all my animals and definitely care more about the animals then the money. I live 10 minutes away in a different city and I make the drive to take my pets to this vet. more

Pacific Veterinary Provides Excellent Service 11/18/2005

Pacific Veterinary Hospital is an excellent place to take your pet if it is ill, needs vaccinations or to get it spayed or neutered. They have some of the lowest fees for spaying/neutering in Stockton and offer discounted health check-ups on Mondays for pets that come in for vaccinations. They also have adoptable cats in the waiting room. The first cat I brought to Pacific Veterinary was very well cared for. They neutered him and noticed that he was not in good health (as he was a feral) so they treated him and kept him over night for observation at no cost to me. They are definitely more interested in the welfare of the pets rather than monetary gain. I would never hesitate to bring any of my cats to Pacific Veterinary Hospital because they have provided me and my pets with extraordinary service. PROS: CONS: They no longer have a low cost vaccination clinic more

I Bring My Pets Here 10/17/2005

I have brought all my pets here for many years. The doctors and the staff are good, professional and friendly. I have no complaints about their service and care of my pets. I have had dogs and cats neutered and spayed here at Pacific Vet. Hospital. The animal comes home the same day. They provide dentistry, radiology, vacainations, ultrasound, in-house lab, spay and neuter. They have a low cost vaccination clinic on Mondays 9-12, 2-5. more
