Pacific Rim Automotive goes the distance to communicate with and satisfy their customers. I have had a long relationship with the company and always have been pleased. A number of...

I think the repair was fine albeit a tad on the expensive side. However, their customer service was a bit poor. For example they called me to say the car was ready on a Friday at ...

Outstanding Service 3/6/2011

My clutch went out on my Acura and I had it replaced here at Pacific Rim. They quoted me a price which was far less than the dealer. Then they gave me a loaner car for free. This was my first time using Pacific Rim and I plan on using them again when my car is due for its 60K service. more

Best Auto Repair Shop 2/23/2011

I take both my cars to Pacific Rim Automotive. They've been honest with me since day one. The first car I brought to them they informed me was too far gone and should be replaced. I highly recommend Pacific Rim. more

Pacific Rim Auto Saved My Car 9/19/2009

After I got rear-ended (while I was at a dead stop, by the way) on 5th Avenue in Seattle by some idiot going fifty miles an hour, I thought by 2002 Toyota Camry was gone forever. The car was still largely intact, but an unlucky combination of damage done and a flogging used-car market indicated that my car was totaled. However, a friend recommended Pacific Rim Auto to me two days before I was about to junk my Camry, and I went in for an estimate and the rest is history. Good job, guys! more

Great customer service 5/16/2008

I previously had taken my VW to an exhaust shop and they replaced the catalytic converter. About two weeks later the check engine light started coming on. The guys at Pacific Rim explained that the light was on because of the aftermarket converter that was installed. They installed a VW one and the light has not come back on. Luckily I was able to get my money back on the first converter. Even though I had to wait a few days for the parts to show up it wasn't bad since they gave me a loaner car. Pros: loaner cars Cons: closed on weekends more

Loaner cars and great customer service: 4/30/2008

My battery light came on in my 1998 Subaru and I didn't feel comfortable driving it around with that light on. I called Pacific Rim and they had me bring it in right away. Even though I had never used them before they gave me a loaner car for they day. Which came in handy since I still had to drop my kids off at daycare and get to work. They replaced the alternator and gave me a shopping list of things my car also needed. Pros: Loaner cars Cons: closed on weekends more

Good Audi Shop 3/13/2008

I'm very picky and brought my Audi All-Road to Pacific Rim. I had tried other Audi shops in Seattle many of them claimed they could work on late model Audi's yet they were unable to fix my problems. Pacific Rim was able to get my check engine light to finally stay off. This is a great, reliable, honest place to bring your Audi. Great customer service and they gave me a loaner car. Pros: Good customer service Cons: closed on weekends more

Inaccurate! 11/20/2007

I took my older model toyota into Pacific Rim based on all the great web reviews and because I suspected problems with the transmission and explained to them the tranny caused a bad noise in 5th gear when on the freeway. When I returned to pay the $100 fee for them to look at my car they said that a) they couldn't find any problems with the transmission and b) that my water pump was dangerously loose in the car and causing a knocking noise. A few minutes later I heard the mechanic tell another guy that its hard to get cars up to 60 mph ""in this area because of all the stop lights"". So clearly they did not take my car on the freeway even though I paid them $100 to find out the problem. What's worse, I took the car to a second mechanic who then removed the water pump for cheaper (out of state) and then when I turned the car on the knocking noise was still there (this is my stupid fault because I trusted Pac Rim on their water pump assesment. I should have doubted them and asked the new mechanic for a brand new diagnosis.) It turns out that the AC converter is knocking loose. So I paid Pac Rim $100 to not investigate my original claim and give me a false assesment of a knocking noise. Great. They basically did a crappy job or a rushed job or a totally wrong job assessing my car. As a younger female I really need mechanics to be honest and thorough, I don't know that much about cars. I will never return here. Pros: Timeliness Cons: Absolutely shoddy job in investigating my concern and assessing it. more
