Over the past year my wife and I had been planning for a full exterior paint job of our house in inner SE Portland. Pacific Coat Painting came out to paint my house in December 2011. You might think this is an odd time of year to paint in Portland, however with the sunny and dry conditions we had the opportunity was right. Anytime I have a company provide a service for me I do my research homework. I was amazed (and a tiny bit skeptical) of all the positive reviews they had online. Not one bad thing was said! After inquiring on their website for an estimate, Kevin called me within two hours to set up an appointment to come out to take a look at my project. Kevin's professional demeanor and straight forward approach was very much appreciated and I knew by the time he left I was ready to hire Pacific Coat Painting. Josh (owner) made a visit to my house within the next day to have a look and introduce himself. Throughout the course of the project he kept me well informed, was courteous, and extremely helpful. His paint crew, Nick and (another) were a couple of very nice guys and when it came to details they helped me make a few decisions on trim. The entire process was easy and the guys cleaned up after themselves each and every time they were here. I would recommend Pacific Coat to anyone who is looking to have their house painted. A very good experience at a stressful time for us as we were in the throes of moving and needed to get the exterior of the house painted. The sales person called promptly and we got fit into the schedule at the height of the painting season for which we were extremely grateful. The crew chief, Evan, was outstanding and the whole crew was very professional and patient. They went out of their way to accommodate changes without complaint or added cost. more

We researched a number of companies before settling on Pacific Coat. We were impressed with Kevin Egan and his careful and concise appraisal of our job and we continued to be so pleased with the painters. Brandon was our lead person and he along with his fellow painters were so very professional, careful, patient, supportive and never disappointed us. They showed up every day polite and hard working through very hot weather. When the first coat was put on and we freaked out OMG what did we do? they calmed us and reassured us and now our home has been turned into a drab looking home into a snappy and lovely look. Our condo association chose Pacific Coat over others because of the willingness to help us develop a new style for our building. We were not disappointed. He was genuine, down-to-earth, low-key, honest, and from our walk around the house it was also clear that he knew what he was talking about. The crew leader, Evan, was great as well. We hired Pacific Coat paint to paint the exterior of our house as well as a stairway/hallway inside. I've got to say the entire experience with this company was awesome. Every single person we talked to was professional, knowledgable and very accomodating. Kevin, the estimator was extremely friendly and very helpful when we asked him questions. He gave us a quote right on the spot instead of making us wait like the other company I was bidding with. \r \r When it was time to start the job, Josh, the owner came by and introduced us to the crew. Our crew was Evan (the foreman), Jeremy and Nick. These guys worked extremely hard and were friendly and upbeat the entire time, even when working 11 and 12 hours a day. I like what I say in the bid and they started work the next day. The price stayed the same even though there was more prep work than they originally thought there would be.
