Good food test test

Very little flavor... long delivery times... Red curry chicken seemed watered down Cons: Food, Value

do not eat at Ozone! 8/17/2008

Ozone restaurant is a filthy place and the food is riddled with MSG. The waitstaff openly handle the food with their hands as it sits on the bar waiting to be delivered to your table. The atmosphere reeks of the party that took place the night before. We only gave it a chance because ""The Rough Guide"" had recommened it. Our party of 5 were violently ill in the middle of the night after dining there. Please avoid this restaurant at all costs! Cons: food is horrible more

The food was OK... 10/20/2007

this restaurant is very overly rated. The waiteress were flirting with the bar customers, we had to wait atleast 20 minutes while two were talking cheap to other customer. Music is way too loud for the restaurant, my husband and I couldn't hear eachother accross the table. After we got the soup, which was good, another waitress came along and asked us twice if we would like to order something else, maybe desert. and we had already ordered entree from our original waitress. Entree was ok, nothing special. I have had much better thai food in Portland and Seattle. Pros: ambience Cons: poor service, very loud music more

THE place for a medium size party 10/2/2007

Ozone had excellent service and the fact that they truly bent over backwards to make our party (~30 people) perfect-- the abundance of food at a really reasonable cost, great atmosphere, and the fact that they even added some extra dessert items to make our party more special. They were very easy to work with, even with changes in number of people attending and some menu changes. Pros: management and the staff Cons: not easy to find parking in the area more

Great Food & Nice Service 6/30/2007

I came to OZONE with my friends after watched the movie ""Ratatouille,"" and all we were satisfied for the food very well. There were so many choices that we got a long time to order, but the waitress was so patient with us and gave us many good comments. All dishes are big and tasty with reasonable prices, especially the honey roasted duck and the three taste fish, both they are our favorites today. I think I'll come to visit it again very soon. more

Great food Fast delivery 2/9/2007

Always friendly on the phone and the delivery person is always very nice. Everything I have ordered from here has been good. Pros: Fast delivery and good food more

just ok 9/24/2006

i've been to this place many times, and it used to be my favorite thai place. i think lately it's been disappointing... my usual dishes, such as pineapple fried rice was soggy and mushy. i'd rather go elsewhere now. more

Best Thai food in SF!!!! 6/18/2006

order the spicy exotic dishes, test your limits with the Thai Eggplant w/Basil and Chili, and try the various salads including Som Tom Thai Style......Bring lots of friends! more

Really fresh food and great delivery service! 5/29/2006

This place is great! The BBQ Chicken Fried Rice and shrimp egg rolls are delicious, and their pad thai is really fresh and flavorful. The delivery time was short, and the food was still hot and crisp like it had just been prepared. We'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants fresh Thai food delivered! Pros: Fast Delivery, Fresh Food more

Great for Late Night Owls 3/21/2006

We have actually ordered from here several times for late deliveries (after 10 pm). I say it's awesome because like the previous person -- it's great for late night owls -- no need for fast food joints. Deliveries on time and Nice friendly service. Highly recommend -- who else delivers til 1:30 AM??? Pros: Free Delivery til 1AM more

Cool 12/24/2005

This is a great place to get a late night bite to eat if you're a night owl like me. Also if you're busy with work or what not, this place also delivers into the wee hours. My favorite items are the duck curry and the fried chicken. The Panang with rice is also quite filling if you've got the munchies, heh. Pros: lychee martini, cute waitresses Cons: kind of loud, no hard liquor more

Not too shabby 12/11/2005

I've heard of honest constructive criticism, but some of the reviewers of this place are just down right slandering. I agree with them that some of the earlier reviews may seem a bit suspicious as if they were written by friends of the the restaurant, but actually 'paying' people to write reviews is an exaggeration. Don't get me wrong, the place does have its flaws but people shouldn't act like jerks and write rude, insulting, and unrealistic comments. Just be honest. The food is not the greatest, but it's decent. The service people can be hard to communicate with at times due to language barriers, but they are genuinely friendly. The setting could use a bit more lighting as it is a bit too dark for my tastes, but I like how it's roomy. There are ups and downs to all places. A good review points out all the aspects. Pros: Roomy, Cocktails, Price Cons: Lighting, Ladies Room more

nice atmosphere 12/3/2005

I like the way the restuarant is set up. Very new age. The food is good and the service is very friendly. Pros: layout, food, service Cons: parking more

is this the same restaurant? 11/29/2005

I read the other reviews, and I don't know that I went to the same restaurant (providing that they weren't written by paid goons, which I actually suspect from the writing). On Polk? Second story across from the Hemlock Pub? This was some of the worst food I've ever had at any restaurant, including Denny's, Waffle House, Panda Express, and this little New Mexico fast food franchise called Blake's Lottaburger. Even if the shrimp was fresh and didn't smell like a wet dog (I didn't taste it), or the fish cakes didn't taste like something Mc Donald's had rejected, or the curry wasn't wattery with under-cooked potatoes, this place would still suck, just because of the lousy service. Unless you want to go get drinks or sing karaoke with Thai people, avoid it like the plague. AVOID IT more

Just got it delivered... 7/4/2005

Ozone Rocks! 5/30/2005

After some small confusion over a reservation, our group was seated promptly and the rest of the dinner went without a hitch! The selection of dishes was great and everyone was thrilled with the food (especially the prices!) We were very pleased with the service (Tai was fantastic!). Great for big groups. We will definitely come back here again - maybe we'll even stay for the Karaoke next time! Only complaint was the lack of a full bar but the cocktail menu was pretty good. Pros: Great food, Great service, Cheap prices Cons: Not a full bar more

Hidden Gem 5/28/2005

I went to Ozone with my friends because it had a good rating. We weren't dissapointed at all! Great ambience, great service, great value, great food!!! Pros: Ambience, Service, Value more

an awesome experience~ 3/21/2005

Fun people, good food, karaoke on a giant screen and awesome bar, what more can u ask for? more

I've never been to a thai restaurant that looked this nice and had such high tech equipment like turntables, nice tvs, a projector screen, karaoke w/wireless mics, and a bar that was simply amazing. I had dinner there once and learned that they took reservations for parties, and i held a party there for my brother which turned out wonderfully due to the features named above. WOW!!! Pros: VALUE, HIGH TECH ELECTRONICS, FRIENDLY STAFF more

Highly Recommended 3/19/2005

Ozone is a great place to dine and hang out. From the soft glow of the candle lights to the colorful lighting artistically matching the rest of the decor, I just love the ambience of this place. My favorite spots to sit are the booths that have large pillows for seat backings. From initial obeservation, one might expect its prices to be high, but upon closer inspection of the menu, their delicious selection of dishes is actually relatively inexpensive. My favorite is the pineapple fried rice. A couple blocks from the AMC1000 theater, I usually go there after watching a flick with friends. One more thing to note for those who might have trouble finding the resturant is that it is located on the second floor of a building. For good food and good times, I recommend that people check this place out and see for themselves. Enjoy. Pros: Inexpensive, Clean, Good Food more
