We have suffered from infertility for all of our 12 years of marriage. The journey is long and filled with many tears, but in the end the years of sadness do wash away. We are the proud parents of a little embryo transfer baby. He is perfect in so many ways, and we honestly don't think we could have produced a better baby had we been blessed with natural fertility! Every parent hopes and desires a child that looks like them, but honestly we often forget he isn't related to us. In the end the eye color, hair color and height mean so little compared to the love we have for him. No words could ever be adequate enough to express our gratefulness for the doctors, nurses and staff at ORH. They really do make dreams come true...thank you for giving us hope to believe ORH. My husband and I started with Overlake Reproductive Health last year. We have had many bumps in the road in our journey to have a child. The doctors are friendly, very competent, and understanding. We have also felt that the support staff - from the front desk to the nurses to the billing staff - to be very helpful. I was particularly impressed by our scheduling assistant, Aaron, who really went above and beyond when we had to schedule a surgery. There were many unknowns in the IVF process, but they made it easy for us to understand and to make important decisions. We trusted them and followed their guidance. We are now five months pregnant! There were some issues with the business office. We had to keep track of the services we received and the payments we made to make sure that we were paying the correct amount. IVF is not cheap, so a small mistake could cost you a lot. more

Excellent service, great personalized attention and a program tailored to our own unique needs. They were very receptive to all issues and concerns and were extremely professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of the process. We ended up with twins on our first round of IVF, but if we had to do it again we would definitely go with them. more

My husband and I worked with this clinic for over two years. Please be aware that although the doc's are Board Certified and knowledgeable that doesn't necessarily mean they are a favorable choice for most couples. We personally know three couples who left this practice lamenting the awful experience and lost time. After exhausting medical explanations from the unnamed doctor who speaks in medical tongue (better get a translater, for he tosses around information faster than one can comprehend), endless visits for blood draws and motioning through the necessary process with repeated tests, incalculable charges and a lack of follow-up explanations or conclusive results from testing, you will also begin to question the process. My husband and I are both UW graduates and researched to make the choice for these doctor's to assist us and we want you to know-there are better options out there. This place appears up front to have all the right equipment, an expert nurse, a shuffling of numerous patients and growth, but beware- this is at the expense of many despondent patients. The second your gut tells you something doesn't seem right, especially with the financial discussions, rambling medical explanations, billings and high turnover in staffing, follow your intuition and move on. We are now proud parents and hope the same for anyone looking for reproductive assistance! more

The Front Office staff at ORH has been very courteous to me. I know at times they are extremely busy with the phones and dealing with a lot at one time. But even when I have had to wait for some help Shelia especially has been so welcoming and great with getting back to me. I know this may be one of the most difficult positions to be in at times because people who are having problems with starting a family are very fragile and don't have a lot of patience. At times we may say or do things that normally we wouldn't. So being able to overlook that and be friendly to help is an earned skill. Thank you Sheila for your smile and big hugs! more

My fiance and I have learned so much from our consultations. We are very well informed of all testing and procedures and every staff member has been so helpful in answering any questions that we have. I am very comfortable and feel safe here at Overlake. Everyone has been extremely helpful and understanding and so patient. The front desk seems very organized. They are great, especially Sammi. She has helped me with a lot of insurance questions and costs and is still very patient and willing to help! Sammi has been wonderful with insurance and finances. Aimee is great and has definitely been a pleasure to get to know. Both are so kind and genuine more

Our first IVF cycle was successful however the pregnancy was not healthy. The staff was wonderful towards us during that time. It really helped and is one of the main reasons why we have chosen to come back for another cycle. They made us feel important and it's the personal touches that count! I don't think there is a negative thing that I could say. Allen really put his efforts in helping my husband. He was always available and even after our loss, sent us his condolences. It was a very nice gesture! My only complaint....the rooms are cold! more

I absolutely love Dr. Johnson, Jo, and Amy! Everyone there is great and I know it is their job but the care that these people put into each and every person is commendable! They make this whole stressful process so much easier and so much more comfortable. more

I was billed $580 for 1st visit back in 2008. Yes, they don't tell how much before setting the apt. You have to ask. They also bill me for blood test which never happened. It was paid by my ins. It took over a year for them to refund it. I was wondering how would they billed for something that it didn't happen. Pros: don't know Cons: too expensive more

Our issues were extremely complex, having fertility issues on both sides. Dr. Johnson and Jo kept reassuring us that it could happen if we didn't give up, and it did. I could have never dreamed I would be sending out pictures of my beautiful baby. Jo was critical in our success. I can't even begin to explain how much she has done for us on every level. She never seemed frustrated when she had to explain something to me for the 3rd time, she let me cry when the test came back negative for the umpteenth time, she let me obsess and call her with all my questions I had gotten off the Internet, she had limitless patience with me and most of all, she seemed to know exactly how the pain and hopelessness of infertility felt. I spent 8 years of my life trying to become a mother, and it was as if she was my personal project manager the entire time. I would have never found the strength to keep going without her and she holds a huge place in our hearts forever. I know you already know this, and I've told her this many times, but I never pass up a chance to blab about her. :) Thank you a million times over. more

We initially started to go to ORH to see if a tubal ligation reversal was a viable option. It was decided that it would not be. We began to look into IVF but were unable to make the finances work from out end. However Dr. Johnson began to treat the Endometriosis I had been recently diagnosed with. My pain level was high and I was unable to work because of it. When conventional treatment wasn't working Dr Johnson tried a new little known treatment. That was in 2005, I remain pain free as of this writing in 2010. Thanks to Dr. Johnson's knowledge and caring my quality of life is great and I am able to do the things I love. He was also very personable, caring and helpful. Unfortunatly I no longer live in the Seattle area, but Dr. Johnson is willing to continue my treatment if no one in my new area is comfortable. Everybody I dealt with in the office was just as caring and kind. I highly recommend them more

Infertility treatment is stressful enough itself; one does not need the extra complication and stress caused by the incompetence and inefficiency of a clinic. OLRH lost some of my medical records. And the billing problem was never ending ? they couldn?t find payments I already made, filed the insurance claims wrong, never appropriate applied credit to my account?? There seems to be high turnover at the clinic, every time I contacted them for billing issues, I had to talk to a new person as the last person I communicated with no longer worked there and often there had been no record of the previous communications either. I wish I had checked BBB record and consumer reviews before choosing an infertility clinic. more

My husband and I came to ORH with hope in conceiving a child. We had a 30% of chance in conceiving a child because of our complicated case. However, ORH still performed a miracle. In May 31st 2008, we had a wonderful and beautiful 18 month old son who has our whole life in control. He is a smart, lovable, and friendly boy. Dr. Johnson, Jo Gray and the entire staff at ORH gave my husband and me the support, knowledge and individualized care with resulted in a successful IVF cycle. Dr. Johnson and Jo gave us hope without promises, and because of tremendous dedication to our dream we have a beautiful three-month old daughter. My Husband and I married when I was 40, so it was not surprising when I did not get pregnant right away. After trying for several months, we turned to ORH for help. My training is as a scientist and I run clinical trials on new medical products, so I have a particular appreciation for the complexities associated with applying medical science and medical technology to an individual patient. At every step, I felt ORH worked to optimize our chances of success. They were extremely attentive to our concerns, very thoughtful, and very caring. Happily, on our second IVF cycle we had a healthy pregnancy and are now enjoying a wonderful thriving little boy.
