Attacked!! I took my friends to Outback in Goldsboro 12/3/10, I noticed in the menu,"" A suggested gratuity of 18% for parties of 8 or more"", I thought, ok, I will take that into consideration as a possibility, as per the definition of ""suggested"". When I recieved the bill for 200+15tax+39gratuity, the gratuity was auto added into the bill for no consideration at all. Considering 40 was for takeout, and the fact that the meal and salads were all delivered at the same time creating a table full of plates all at one time, I gave the waitress 250 which I thought 33 in tip was a plenty, she returned to the table and demanded the remaining 5 bucks. I mentioned the gratuity was a suggestion only and I considered it, she still demanded the 5. At this point it became an issue of principal and not the 5bucks,I had to explain what the term suggested means as per the menu. She called her manager, who pointed out menu phase and she still did not understand what the term suggested means and demanded the remainder of the gratuity, this was an attack and a scene caused by the tacky inclusion of the suggested gratuity being included into the bill. Completely contrary to the print in the menu. Beware! The gratuity is not a suggestion at all, but a demand, and you will be attacked if you dont comply.
