Our Daily Bread Restaurant

This place was a great experience that myself and my girlfriend went for breakfast on Dec 28th 2009. The coffee was nice and fresh and my cup was always full. The biscuits and gravy were fully and seasoned perfectly they also don't skimp on the sausage for the country gravy. The chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast was cooked top notch all the way. The wait staff was always right there to refill our drinks and never rushed us in eating. The pies are also incredible we had one to go and I definitely recommend the peanut butter chocolate pie. My experience at this restaurant was very good, I liked the food and the staff was very nice. I ordered a hamburger with fries and the fries there are really tasty so was the hamburger. I would definitly recommend this place to my friends. Pros: Parking,staff,service more

If you want to get sick, by all means, eat here. The two times I ate there the eggs were completely uncooked and COLD, the bacon was alternatively uncooked and burnt (I had two pieces...how they managed that is a mystery). They don't even give you an option to have unbuttered toast. It comes slathered (not sure it's even butter). The coffee was gross and bland and that waitresses were, though friendly, not terribly attentive. It's also way overpriced for the crappy quality of the food. I just had the very unfortunate even of ""dining"" at Our Daily Bread for the first and last time in my life. The hash browns were uncooked, the coffee was cold and disgusting (half-way though choking it down I found a black hair stuck to the side of the cup and we all have light hair), the eggs were extremely greasy and stunk like old bacon grease (I don't eat bacon) and the toast was slathered with so much fake butter that it left a puddle on my plate. When they asked us how the food was we politely said that it was not good and rather than trying to remedy the situation they said ""Oh, that's too bad. Sorry."" Until today I believed that Boonies was the most unappetizing place to eat in St. Johns but Our Daily Bread is infinitely worse. Your money would be much better spent anywhere other than this place unless you like unhealthy, greasy, poor-quality food.
