I really didn't appreciate the unorganized chaos. 1/10/2009

Oh dear, I so wanted to love this restaurant. Everything could have been so right too. \r \r I love Thai, they're near my work, and the prices are about what I'm used to paying for lunch.\r \r Where did it all go wrong? Sadly, I had a really unreasonable waitress for one. Being that I'm already in a rush since I have a limited lunch hour, I really didn't appreciate the unorganized chaos. more

Best Thai in SF 12/4/2008

If you are visiting San Francisco on vacation, you gotta check out Osha Thai. Get the fried chicken fried rice :) Pros: Fast service, fresh food Cons: Kinda pricey, uncomfortable seating more

Thai 9/25/2008

The space is really the big draw here. I love the look and feel of this restaurant. I go to the Phoenix next door a lot more than Osha, but I always love the interesting natural walls that surround the dinning area. The food is also great of course with good sizes and a lot of great dishes. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 9/12/2008

Food good but order took 1:45 to arrive. Not acceptable. Called and all they could say was drier was en route but no explanation as to why it took so long. No update to expected time either which had stated one hour from order time. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 8/7/2008

Really nice food. One star off as the first time we ordered here the tuna was fresh, second time it was frozen and I could tell. more

Expensive, but efficient delivery and yummy. Spicy Eggplant and Crab Rangoon were my favorite! more

Very hip 11/2/2007

I really like the ambiance of this place. Very hip, chill and comfy. Food is great; presentations are beautiful and portions are generous. My fav is the volcanic beef. The only thing that I don't like is the plastic chairs - not in synch with the decor, and lends a feeling of coldness (like you're in a vet hospital) to an otherwise relaxed atmosphere. These chairs also seem very cheap, as if they paid $9.99 for each one. Just replace the chairs with wooden ones, and this place will be golden. Pros: Ambiance, food and drinks Cons: Cheap, plastic chairs more

best thai food in san francisco 8/30/2007

what an amazing dining experience! i made reservations for a table of 2 at 9 pm but decided to show up early and was seated in about 15 minutes. the bar/sitting area is stylish and helps the wait time go by fast. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. the food? spectacular. i dont eat meat so i had the pad thai with tofu. i was also able to order the dish non-spicy. my boyfriend got the volcanic beef (apparently a favorite at the restaurant) and was more than pleased. he said the steak was done to perfection. the decor is hip and the restaurant was great. the only thing that takes a little getting used to are the plastic chairs. Pros: ambiance, service, decor Cons: parking more

A Cool Place with Great Thai Food 5/8/2007

Tried the new location and the decor was modern & chic. Had the Wasabi Beef Rolls and it was delicious. The cocktails were original and tasted good too! Will definitely go back soon! more

Yay! Osha moved to the neighborhood! 4/21/2007

When I first saw the Osha signage go up on the old Amici Pizza space on Union Street, I got VERY excited. I had always had spectacular meals at the Oshas on Geary and on 2nd Street and looked forward to having a location within walking distance of home. We went the first weekend they were open and had an amazing meal and a terrific bottle of wine - all delicious and reasonably priced. The menu has some of our favorites from the other locations and a bunch of unique dishes as well. I was disappointed that my favorite noodle soup from the Geary St. location was missing, but the Volcanic Beef more than made up for that loss. Since then, we've been back several times and always had great service and enjoyed all of our dishes. The decor is very modern and there is a bar/lounge area to wait in should a table not be available when you arrive. This is the Osha you know and love but maybe even better. Pros: Fab food, cool space Cons: Usually pretty crowded; reservations not accepted for small groups more
