Best

The brownie hot fudge sundae was fabulous! My hubby and oldest daughter had them for their dinner...but be aware...it has nuts.

Worst

The atmosphere is not even close to Friday's Front Row or JB's You can really get into the game at these places, unlike Orlando Ale House.

good place to watch a sporting event 4/2/2007

I have basically been only in the bar area but they have so many tv's that no matter where you sit you can see 3 or 4 tv's. The food is average, but the bar service is good. They are always looking to see if you need more drinks and they are friendly as well. Pros: the crowd, tv's Cons: the crowd more

Great Place for Bar Food and a Game... 7/3/2005

We ate here while on business, I opted for the Porterhouse steak. I think this was an example of you get what you pay for. It was not a very good piece of meat and required me to soak it in A1 for it to taste good. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of TV's. The appetizers were really good and large quantities. Pros: Fun atmosphere, Inexpensive Cons: Mediocre Steak more

Good eats, nice ambience! 2/6/2003

For those of you who don't consider McDonald's and Subway to be "cuisine", this is a pretty good choice. No, you won't find a $.99 cheeseburger here, but what you will find is a GOOD cheeseburger and a good beer with which to wash it down! The atmosphere is also a bit more comfortable! more

Fun place for eats 2/6/2003

A fun place to eat with friends. Starters can be entire meals for two = inexpensive Pros: fun atmosphere, large portions Cons: often crowded more

Says Ale but think Seafood 12/9/2002

Variety and value are two good word s to describe the Ale House. The beer menu is very large with some good brews, if a bit common, even for the better beers. Food menu is simple but complete from huge nachos to huge 20 oz steaks. I think that the seafood is the best and despite being more of a sports bar than a fine dining room, they really don't have any bad dishes. The place is large with many TV's but is surprisingly not too loud. A great place to take the family, or a date or hang out to watch a game. Pros: Good Beer Selection, Excellent Seafood, Great Value Cons: Can get a bit smokey more

Portions Plenty 11/18/2002

Great place to take those out-of-town relatives. They have the absolute best 'fried grouper sandwiches' in the town. Also, try their 'cajun chicken pasta' yum yum, and yes it is slightly spicy. Service is a little slow, but the food is well worth the wait. Pros: Large Portions, Great Food Selection, Inexpensive Cons: Crowded at times, Service a bit slow more

Been to one, been to them all! 11/14/2002

If you have ever been to one Ale House, you have been to them all - granted better service than the Ft. Myers Ale House. Palm Beach is ok, Jupiter is great, Davie is always packed, as is O-town. There are two in O-Town and they are both the same. Food ok - great Zingers! Pros: football games Cons: crowded, smoky, loud more

blondie 10/27/2002

I love the Ale House! There is one really close to my house, and I go there frequently. It is perfect if you want to meet friends for a drink before going out, or if you want a laid-back night to just chill. Also, I've never had any food there that I didn't like. I especially like the steak skewers and the captain jack's buried treasure (ice cream dessert). Pros: good food, inexpensive, casual atmosphere Cons: too smoky more

Tastes Great! Less Expensive! 10/21/2002

The Orlando Ale House is one of the best hidden secrets in this town of tourist traps and dives. The food, atmosphere, and service are top notch and the prices are low. It's also a great place to go watch the games and shoot some pool! more

Don't break the bank 10/11/2002

Home of the Chichen Nachos! 10/3/2002

The Ale House is the perfect place for you and your friends to come and chill out while your watching the game. The service is always great! They have the widest variety of food....from Steaks and Lobsters to zingers and PB&J's. You are completely surrounded by TV's, it's the sportsmans heaven. I recommend trying the chicken nachos....it'll blow your mind! :) Pros: inexpensive, fun, Great Service Cons: crowded, loud more

over rated 10/3/2002

to crowdy, mediocre food its all fried, staff is friendly, but thats where it stops Place should get a deep clean! Cons: Not enough parking, crowded, dirty more

Lovin' those Zingers! 10/1/2002

I've been to the Alehouse numerous amounts of times and I have to say it is the place I always go back to when I'm in town. I now live in PA and when either friends or family go to Orlando I have them bring me home the famous "Alehouse Zingers". The Alehouse has great food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I would suggest the Alehouse to just about anyone! I'm wondering......do you think they'll ever have a chain in PA?? more

The best fish sandwich! 9/21/2002

The Ale House is perfectly designed for what it wants to accomplish as a sports bar. It has great sports ambience, inexpensive yet good food, and of course great drink specials! I tell anyone who will listen to go there and just enjoy at least one game. If they do, they will be hooked! Kelly, USMC Pros: prices, food/drink, any sport you want! Cons: stools--standing room, more servers gametime more

Alehouse Rocks! 8/29/2002

  • The Scene
The Ale House is one of the state's mini-chains. All share the same basic menu, decor and commitment to satisfying, far-from-fancy food. The decor is reminiscent of a sports bar, with bench-like seats and thick wooden tables. TVs are hung throughout, although the noise level usually remains tolerable.

    The Food
Start off with the deep-fried conch fritters, a taste of Key West. The Ale House Combo--a platter of potato skins, conch fritters, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and sauces--feeds a crowd. Baby back ribs are generously portioned, fall-off-the-bone tender and smothered in a tangy sauce. Another good bet for dinner is the blackened prime-rib sandwich. The burgers are big and juicy. The brownie hot fudge sundae is the star of the small dessert menu.
