Rock Star Hair 11/5/2010

I told Michael I wanted a ""Rock Star"" haircut. What did I get? Well how about three ""rock star"" boyfriends! He's the best, simply the best. My daughter even comes in from out of state to have him cut her hair- and she lives in a large city with many stylists. She has super thick straight hair and I have very fine hair with wave. He makes us both look and feel beautiful. I would never go to anyone else. more

Michael has been my stylist for over 20 years. He sets high standards for himself and his staff. They are always knowledgeable, professional and courteous. My Brazillian Blowout turned out perfectly--smooth but with body. I love it and have recommended ONE to all my friends. If you come here once, I guarantee you'll never want to go anywhere else. The service is absolutely unsurpassed and the talent is outstanding. more

All Around Awesome! 8/25/2010

Michael is the best. It's really that simple...he IS the best. You don't have clientele travel (literally) hundreds of miles, for years on end and not be the best at what you do. I know this to be true, because I'm one of those people! To show you how long I've trusted Michael..I used to get spiral perms for long uniform curls (!!) now it's Brazillian Blowouts that make my hair straight and smooth as silk! (times change, what can I say? lol) My Brazillian is now 31/2 months old and still looks and feels great. I couldn't be happier with Michael, his salon or his employees (Hi Gilberto!!) It's a great experience from the moment you're welcomed in, to the last ""be careful on your drive home"". more

Michael...there is nobody like him! 8/25/2010

I recently had a Brazillian blowout and I was going on vacation. I had remembered something that Michael had said about water but couldn't remember if he had said it was ok to or not ok to do it so I called him. He was so pleasant and boy was I glad I called since I guess I wasn't paying attention while I was there. I can be so immature at times! He told me not to go in the water so I didn't and my hair looks as fabulous as it did when I had it done. I am so happy Michael was there to guide me on what to do. He is the best! more

not sure who evolav is or what her personal issues are but ONE is the best - hands down, no questions asked. best cuts, best color, best Brazilian blow outs, best staff, best atmosphere. i hope evolav doesn't waste her time at ONE . . . means more appointments available for me!!!! more

Great Service and Professionalism 8/24/2010

Michael has a vast myriad of experience and the salon is exuberant in style. His professionalism curtails all those that try to exceed but he continues to endure thoughout the years. I do not have anything negative to say about Michael, the employees or the salon. I feel bad for those that feel the have been treated unfairly because they surely will be missing out on excellent service. more

Never Complain or Else! 8/11/2010

Yes, Michael does good hair, UNTIL you call to say that something doesn't look right, or didn't take (Brazillian straightener), then he becomes an entirely different person. I felt mistreated and abused as soon as I called to discuss my hair treatment. He said he would re-do it and scheduled an appointment. After driving 45 minutes to his salon, he met me at the counter, handed me my money back and said ""Go Shopping"" as he had cancelled my appoinment without the courtesy of a phone call and wouldn't fix it. more

He cares about EACH customer and brings his exquisite taste and sensibilities to each haircut. How he remembers all his customers I don't know, but he's so caring and attentive. I always look beautiful and FEEL beautiful when I leave. Pros: Michael is absolutely wonderful more

I have been coming to Michael since I was a young girl. I won't say how long to keep our ages secret. He is hand down a master. My hair cut, color and style LAST; my hair never looks like it needs a trim. His is what a stylist should be or aspire to be. Pros: Ambiance, skill, customer service, results... more

Relaxing 2/14/2008

I have only known Micheal for a year, I like the fact of a child free salon, I have children and I was told of the policy , No children unless there scheduled for an appointment. I also like the fact that the rules apply to everyone, longtime clients or new ones. Micheal is an extremely talented hair dresser, and from what I have seen treats his clients very well. Talent and a great atmosphere; I love this salon! 1/15/2008

Michael is a genius with hair, both cut and color. He's been doing my hair for at least 10 years, and I get compliments all the time. I never used to get compliments before Michael started doing my hair -- in fairness to prior stylists, my hair is really hard to work with: cowlicks all over my head and aggressively straight hair. He updates the style as needed, and I tell people I've outsourced all decisions to him. It's been one of my most sensible decisions. I also like the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the salon. Everyone who works there is a pleasure to be around. There is none of the rush, noise and pettiness I've experienced at other salons, where you can leave more stressed than when you arrived. I haven't used Jose myself, but he has started cutting the wild hair of my son, a sophomore in college, and both he and my husband are happy -- amazing! I highly recommend this salon. UPDATE DECEMBER 2010 I still love this salon and Michael, Gilberto and Jose. It's a treat to go, the atmosphere is delightful on many levels, the value for the money is superb, and I leave with wonderful-looking hair! STILL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more

With a mother and sister as stylists I have never needed or wanted to go to someone else, and except for two gross errors in judgment against that policy that ended in misfortune to my hair, I have never trusted anyone else. more

Fabulous experience! 1/16/2007

I'm very pleased with the talent and level of quality at One! I was looking desperately for someone to fix my color and cut I had done at another salon and so I searched for salons in my area. I was very frustrated. I made an appointment with Jose hoping he could fix my hair. He was amazing! I've gotten so many compliments and my sister even said to me that this is the best my hair has looked in years!!!I'm definitely going back! Pros: very quiet Cons: salon not visible from the street more

Great service; Michael gives a superb cut; Jose does an excellent color job. The salon is very clean, and the atmosphere is friendly and warm -- very relaxing. You are never rushed in and out, but given very personal attention. At the same time, you are not left hanging waiting for your turn between the colorist and the haircut. I highly recommend. more

Insulted! 4/23/2006

Michael styled my hair for 10 years and threw me out one day when I simply dropped by to make an appt. He told me to ""get IT out of here!"" I was shocked and embarrassed that he would say such a thing with my son only standing next to me. That was the last he saw of me but he apparently does not care about being kind or loyal to those who have given him business and sent him business for so many years. more
