On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

I was there last week, hostess was very snotty little girl, our sever never came around for 15 to 20 mins and still no one, until a very nice lady from the other side stopped and asked if we had been helped. she apologized and got us chips and took our drink order, when she brought the chips we asked that she could take our order and did with no hesitation. We never saw our server until she came to the table and asked if we needed anything else and gave us the check. We were seated next to a table that had the same problem different server, they said that must be the manager that helped both of us, and was very surprised that all their sever said was your order was in. Our server was eden or edan is what it looked like on the receipt, as you might guess we did not leave her anything and as we left we saw the server that helped us and indeed she was not the manager as the other table thought, and she would not take the tip, she just smiled and made good excuses for the other girl, said that is all part of team work. Well I am here to say that the only reason for the 4 stars is the food and the one person that took the time to make sure we got service. Maybe if there were more like her this restaurant could be a five star. more

We like Mexican food, so we headed to this new restaurant by Jordan Creek Mall. On our first visit, we were "lost" on the wait list, and ended up waiting 1.5 hours before we were finally seated. Not impressed. On the second visit, we had much better service. This is typical Mexican chain fare. I had decent beef fajitas, and then an okay ground beef chimi. They give the typical chips and salsa appetizer, and serve up one mean margarita. more
