Ogawa Japanese Restaurant

Went to Ogawa to just try it becasue the reviews for Ogawa were 50/50. We ordered the Las Vegas roll ($13.95) to share so we could deside ourselves. We were welcomed so wonderfully until they knew we were there to just try their food and was not spend a lot of money. That's when the dirt started to fly. No service,very cold acting. We had to go ask or get ourselves things we needed. Trying to get our bill paid and get the hell out of there was a pain all its own. We still left a 15% tip becasue we were not going to act like them. All those people seem to care about is MONEY, lots of it and now. To bad. Don't they know how much business (MONEY) they lost because how they treated us. Don't they now about building a future for their business. They lost a lot from us. more

Anyone who thinks this is good sushi doesn"t know sushi. I've gotten better at Kroger, and that's not a compliment to Kroger. The only place in Morgantown with worse sushi is Hibachi. What I would give to have Daikoku back. more

I don't know what the guy with the "quickest review in town" was thinking, since I and anyone writing a meaningful review usually base my review of the best sushi bar in this town on the price of their soft drinks and not on anything even remotely related to the FOOD, service, atmosphere, attitude, authenticity, experience, etc. The last thing I base a review on is price. By the way, I've been to the Evergreen Buffet, and I actually have sat through 2 unforgivable meals there. Talk about 3 types of not-actually-pre-packaged (but tastes like it is) sushi and a buffet of corn syrup-glazed starch and vegetables which were, minutes before, frozen. If I were worried about the price of a can of soda, which is unhealthy to begin with, I would go to the nearest gas station and get in line with some other impoverished individuals and buy the $0.50 can of soda and sit outside on the curb and drink my soda out of the can and without ice beside people smoking cigarettes. I don't know about some people, but I would much rather go into a fine restaurant and pay $1.25 more to sit down, relax, enjoy an appetizer and have a quick conversation with a waitress, and then indulge on some of the best sushi I can buy for 100 miles and leave satisfied. I love Ogawa. You get what you pay for. Try the love roll it is so worth it! They are fresh and pretty quick. Good sushi is hard to find, great sushi is an art and Ogawa is filled with artists. Come dine, enjoy! Well worth it! more

For not having a broad array of food and culture in Morgantown Ogawa might be the best sushi I've had in town. Some say it is a bit pricey but its fresh fish and we live in Morgantown. The presentation is also grade A. Not to mention the fish has the cleanest taste. ALL AROUND GOOD SUSHI! more

Walked in to Ogawa, looked at the menu. Thought it was a bit pricey. I asked the waitress for a pop. She brought me out a can of Coke and a cup of ice. I looked on the back of the menu and saw that soft drinks were $1.75. I'm not paying $1.75 for a $.50 can of Coke. I then walked out. Am I in Morgantown, WV or New York City? I then went to the Evergreen Chinese Buffet and, for $8.00, I all kinds of food including a lot of sushi and....... a fountain pop like I wanted. more

Ogawa has great sushi! They have a great sushi menu, especially the dragon- eel sushi which is shaped like a dragon (hence, its name.) Their prices are moderate for sushi. They have great deals on their box lunches and a special one each day. My daughter (who is only a year) loves their Edamane. It also has a calming atmosphere which is well decorated. There is a lot of parking in the back. more

I haven't had the opportunity to eat at Ogawa for dinner, so this review is for their lunch menu only. Ogawa offers a variety of items on their lunch menu, including noodle dishes and sushi. However the way to go is their box lunches. Ranging in price from $7 to $8, these lunches will fill you up with their offerings of tempura, sushi, salads, entrée, rice, soup and more. Good quality and an excellent value for what you get. Fast service too. Recommended. more
