Good Tan, Great Deals! 10/11/2009

This tanning place has some pretty cool beds, and all of them have facials, which is nice. I definitely got good color and the ladies at the front desk helped me a lot with advice and giving me the discounts they could; student, and throwing in a free lotion. Salon takes my student express card too, easier for me, Pros: Nice employees, give good discounts Cons: didn't know where the village shops were, gps wrong more

Best Massage Ever... 9/17/2009

I have been going to Oasis of Williamsburg for years now. No matter what day or time I come in, I am always welcomed with a friendly face. The girls there make you feel like family. They are very good at what they do and have a lot of knowledge. I sometimes find myself just stopping by to get away from the husband and have my back and feet rubbed. I just decided to bring my husband to my heavenly get away this year. He now beggs me to take him to not only get a massage but my manly man always has to get his pedicure done once a month. I reccomend this place for anyone living in Williamsburg or just stopping by. Pros: The staff is phenomenal Cons: Finding the place the first time more

Don't bother 4/25/2009

My husband sent me here as a birthday present for a prenatal massage, manicure, and pedicure. First of all, prenatal massage shouldn't be listed on their website as a service they offer. They don't have a special table to use for it - I was instructed to lie on my back for over half of the massage, a definite no-no for someone in her third trimester of pregnancy. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early, as instructed, and was shown to the massage room after filling out the survey, as the massage therapist had yet to arrive. The pillows I was given to make this a ""prenatal"" massage looked as though they had been pulled off of someone's bed and had never been washed. Gross. 15 sweltering minutes later (evidently the air conditioning wasn't working on a 90+ degree day. The wise solution? Take a loss and cancel appointments. Their solution? Crank up the fans and deal), 10 minutes after my appointment should have started, the massage therapist arrived. Unfortunately, the massage was the best part of the experience. I received all three services from the same woman, whom I think may never have given a manicure or pedicure before... She put my feet in the tub to soak before filling it with water (which started out cold - yow!), then proceeded to do a clumsy job polishing my nails. The manicure was by FAR the worst I've ever had - my nails are completely uneven, jagged, and she trimmed my cuticles so poorly that on one finger I now have a new wound. Now I have to go somewhere else and pay to have this terrible terrible job fixed. My nails have never looked so disgusting. The floor of the spa was also filthy. Hopefully they sweep it more often now. I highly suggest avoiding this place for any of the services I reviewed. Pros: Might be good for tanning Cons: Dirty, poor service, unqualified staff more
