Before going to see Marissa I was very hesitant because I had never seen a nutritionist before and was worried that she was going to put me on a very strict meal plan. To my complete surprise, Marissa did not put me on a ""diet"", rather, she taught me how to eat! It has been so liberating to not feel restricted and guilty about eating certain foods and still being able to lose weight (I have already dropped 15 pounds)! I finally feel like I have control over food...in the past, food always had control over me. Marissa is kind, creative, a great listener and just always a wonderful supporter. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to have a healthy relationship with food and meet their weight/health goals.
