Noshville used to be one of my favorite places in Nashville. It reminded me of New York's Carnegie Deli, with its huge sandwiches and even bigger salads, free pickles and pickled green tomatoes, sassy wait staff, and authentic NYC cheesecake. Lately, it's been a disappointment. We went in June and I had the worst Caesar salad I've ever tasted -- heavy, tasteless dressing -- so bad that I had to ask for lemon slices to squeeze over the salad and lighten the taste. I should have sent it back, but I have to admit I'm a little wimpy about that kind of thing.
My husband's meal wasn't very good either; he said that the bread was stale. Service was indifferent, and the place could have used a cleaning. When I pay $10 for a sandwich, I'd like better treatment and surroundings.
