This place is great for breakfast - especially if you've had a long night, or have lots of family in town and don't feel like getting out the waffle iron for them. Everything I've...

The only reminder of a true NY deli is the price. I really wanted to like this place, but I received a ""loveless"" meal--a pickle that tasted like nothing more than a cucumber, a...

decent food 11/28/2005

I moved here from NYC several years ago and I couldn't find a decent pastrami sandwich until I discovered Noshville deli. I had originally called them to ask if I could buy bagels from them by the dozen (yes you can). I was told that Noshville has their bagels flown in from H&H bagel in Brooklyn, NY and their pastrami comes from Cargenie deli in NYC. I got so excited that I could find food that was literally from home. The one negative though, would be that the prices for eating there are definitely NYC prices. The portions though are quite large. You can definitely share a sandwich. We had also gotten a whole cheesecake from them for a birthday, which cost 38 dollars. Again a little steep. I would eat there again though, just because the pastrami is excellent. more

Good, not great 9/29/2005

This place is pretty good sandwiches- some of them are great, in fact. I think it's a little overpriced though, and its *really* crowded at lunch. It's also terribly loud. You can meet some interesting people there, though. The last time I was there, a friend of mine in the music industry introduced me to a group of VPs from Sony and several different music artists of various celebrity status before we got out of there. Interesting place to see and be seen, but otherwise, just another good, but overpriced deli-style restaurant. more

Used to be better 8/24/2005

Noshville used to be one of my favorite places in Nashville. It reminded me of New York's Carnegie Deli, with its huge sandwiches and even bigger salads, free pickles and pickled green tomatoes, sassy wait staff, and authentic NYC cheesecake. Lately, it's been a disappointment. We went in June and I had the worst Caesar salad I've ever tasted -- heavy, tasteless dressing -- so bad that I had to ask for lemon slices to squeeze over the salad and lighten the taste. I should have sent it back, but I have to admit I'm a little wimpy about that kind of thing. My husband's meal wasn't very good either; he said that the bread was stale. Service was indifferent, and the place could have used a cleaning. When I pay $10 for a sandwich, I'd like better treatment and surroundings. more

Try it! 7/31/2005

Noshville's is a great place to go for any meal. You can order just about anything, as they have a wide variety of choices on their menu! You have to check out the giant pickles they leave on the table!! It is a bit on the pricey side for a sandwich, but it is def. a good place to eat! more
