EXCELLENT Community College 9/9/2005

The super thing about North Seattle Community College is that it's part of the Seattle Community College network, so basically you can take the same classes at North as you would at South or Central. THere is ample parking there, and the whole campus looks kind of like a mall, with multi-leveled concrete-walkways connecting the different buildings. If it's raining while you're in class (of course it's always raining in Seattle), make sure to bring an umbrella so you don't get soaked walking from Chemistry to Algebra. Their cafeteria food is provided by the Culiary Arts students and is TOP NOTCH and not expensive at all!!! Oh yeah. The teachers are great and you get a good education there more

Online classes currently available... 8/10/2005

I live close to North Seattle, and its one of the major colleges around this area. I am sure that most of the other colleges are doing the same thing, but I thought it would be good to tell those of you that live near North Seattle. Well this college is offering online classes for certain courses. And its a pretty cool thing because you don't have to step out of the comfort of your home. All of your lectures, homework, and most studies happen all online. I think that as technology is expanding, more and more people will start to do classes this way. more

Cooperative Preschools 3/23/2005

NSCC Co-op Preschool programs provide parent and early education for families with children in the following age groups - infants, toddlers, "Pre-3's", and "3-5's". Parents effectively run each of the 13 locations - everything from helping in the classroom to hiring teachers. Parents work 1 day per week in the classroom and also receive parent education from instructors. The COOP system is also a great way to meet other families with children the same age as your kid(s). more
