Best

I've been coming here for 3 years now, generally on the weekends, for the Dim Sum here. The place is almost always packed, and being as large as it is, that's saying something. ...

Worst

Didn't really work for me, it's not bad but just not what I had expected. I still think Top Gun or places in ID would be better suited for Dim Sum.

Decent for Sum 12/12/2006

I used to LOVE going to this place with the 'rents after church, then they changed the dim sum skins and it wasn't quite as tasty. Instead of the succulent/chewy texture, it became too soft and overcooked. Plus, we were getting tired of all the shrimp, shrimp, SHRIMP! The thing I miss most about this place is the SAUCE. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE their chili sauce/paste. It's a gorgeous mix of chili oil and savory hot bean paste. We would ask for vats of this stuff. I can't find it anywhere else. Word of advice, if you're stuck with a bad spot on the floor, just order what you want from the waiter instead of waving the carts down and picking through leftovers. UPDATE: Went there on New Year's Day for evening cocktails. Hot and sour soup was quite savory and had a ringing spiciness to it. Bravo. Rum and Cokes were well-mixed and strong. Beer was served at an unfortunate room temperature. Companion was satisfied with their Szechuan-style oyster appetizer. Other companion got a custom-made tofu dish (they're so accomodating) that was pretty good. Tofu had a WONDERFUL texture; all firm and held together but really soft and silky on the inside. Stirfry broccoli was crisp and good. Szechwuan sauce was a bit bland though. I got the Schweshwan shrimp with Chef's sauce (I don't know how we ended up ordering 3 Shweshan dishes). It was SOOOOO GOOOOD. The shrimp was deliciously meaty and dense. The sauce gave it a great General Tao-like sweet-sticky coating of the very spicy sauce. It tasted wonderful, though the heat of the dish plus the spiciness made it a bit painful to finish. Waitstaff was very attentive and visited frequently, though the place was pretty empty. They rang up our drinks in such a way that they gave us a bit of a discount (intentional? I don't know). They even gave complimentary fortune cookies *and* orange slices to end the meal. Will definitely go back more frequently. more

Okay Dim Sum Place 11/21/2006

The food is fresh and hot is about all I can say for them. Authenticity isn't high. Although they do serve dishes like "Phoenix Claws" the authentic dim-sum taste is missing. Lots of offerings of Americanized Chinese dishes will help diners more familiar with General Tso's and Chop Suey than with steamed white carrot cake (not to be confused with taro cake) and Hong Kong Congee. That coupled with hostesses more concerned with getting people in and out on a busy weekend then ensuring the comfort of the elderly and very young put the nail in that coffin as far as I was concerned. For those who have eaten excellent Dim Sum in San Francisco, Vancouver B.C. and Hong Kong, you will find that Noble Court falls short. more

Good dim-sum 6/10/2006

We have been there for Dim-sum for some times. They serve dim-sum 11am-3pm everyday, 7 days a week. Good variety and yummy taste. The carts came out constantly with fresh dishes, so you won't have to wait long to be served. The price is reasonable, but parking is tight on weekends. Bon appetite. more

Noble Court Chinese Restaurant 4/4/2006

This restaurant has been around forever and is very popular. The parking lot is extremely tight and people tend to make their own spaces. I do not advocate that you park across the street in the Safeway lot. =) We go there for dim sum from time to time and that is quite good. Hopefully, you will be seated in a central location because sometimes some of the carts don't make it to the far reaches of the dining room. The waiting area in the front of the restaurant is kind of smelly because the restrooms are right there but, although unpleasant, don't let that deter you! In addition to the dim sum you can also order off the menu. Quick, no-nonsense service at this place. more

Best Around Seattle So Far 4/1/2006

If you're a dim sum conniseur, try Noble Court. I can't seem to find anything better in the area, so if you know of one, please let me know! The variety is good and the overall food quality is pretty good. It doesn't even compare to the dim sum that you can get in Vancouver, B.C., but it beats anyplace downtown for sure (and feels a lot safer too!). Best to come after 11:00 am for best variety in selection. more

Great Dim Sum Variety 3/18/2006

The dim sum menu is superb and very accessible. Servers, and comparable to airport stuardists, roam the aisles with dim sum carts, ready for your mercy. Basically, you can choose the foods right in front of you. I will be coming back here again. If you do decide to join me, reserve a table because the wait, like the food, is pretty extraordinary (30-40 minutes when busy). more

The Best Local Dim Sum 3/17/2006

If you know what dim sum is and appreciate it, you've got to try Noble Court. I think it's the best that the Seattle area has to offer. Far better than anything in the International District, and much safer too (the food and the parking lot!). The food is hot and there is a lot of variety, after 11:00am on weekends. You definitely want to arrive a little before 11:00 though or you won't get parking. So you see, it's a science....10:45 arrival time will get you parking and the best variety of food. The little plates of deep fried, orange sesame type beef is the best dish I've tried there. The absolute greatest dim sum can be found in Vancouver, B.C. but if you don't want to make the drive, Noble Court does it pretty well. One last thing...the facility is not near as impressive as the food, so don't be turned off at first sight. Try the food! more

best dimsum 4/26/2005

Noble Court is a great place to get dim sum. It's on the Eastside. It is probably most fun if you try to go here as a group with other people who want to try a variety of different small dishes of dimsum. It's the best dimsum that I know of in the area, and they have reasonable prices, too. more

  • The Scene
Heavily dressed in neon outside, Noble Court is modest inside: good table linens and lots of fake plants and flowers. Even though it seats more than 200, this place gets slammed...
