The Economy Sucks – But What the Hell We’re Not Idiots! 7/16/2010

I have eaten at this Noah’s in the past & thought the price of their sandwiches were a little high, but within reason for the busy Rosecrans Ave. corridor. I ate lunch here at Noah’s twice this week (7/15/10 & 7/16/10), but will never (I mean never) eat there or at any Noah’s ever again. I ordered a $7+ tuna sandwich each time. The first day I ordered it on a bagel & noticed the dag-gum bagels at Noah’s have shrunk in diameter as well as girth. I didn’t mind that much, because we could all use a little fewer carbs. The next thing I noticed was the tuna portion had gone on a diet as well. I thought, well the old school version always had the tuna squishing out the back as you bit into the thing going on. Then I thought - What the hell? – My $7+ sandwich was demoted to a gas station $3 sandwich & I didn’t get the courtesy discount. \r The second day was my favorite of all & clinched the never eating at Noah’s deal. I ordered my tuna on rye this time. Question: Can you legally call it a tuna sandwich on your menu board if the main ingredient of the sandwich is not TUNA. This sucker should have been called a lettuce & tomato sandwich on rye with a “tuna mayonnaise shmear.” The tuna (and I am not exaggerating) had the thickness of the peanut butter on a PPJ sandwich. What the F*&k is Noah’s thinking? I know the economy sucks – But you cannot make a $7 sandwich a $3 sandwich overnight & think that people are not going to notice & be pissed off about it. Get a clue Noah’s & least implement the McDonald’s BigMac shrink program (that is done over time HELLO ANYONE THERE). – Now this is a review from a real person & not just another paid food critic that leaves the “eat here – it’s wonderful messages.” Pros: No Pros Here - Stay Away! Cons: Quantity & Quality Shrinking, But Prices Not more
