Yummy Treat 4/14/2006

The concrete custard is really a yummy treat here. When my mom was in the hospital, we made special trips here to get her a fun treat and she was in a Salt Lake City hospital. A concrete is going to run you about $5 and there is usually a line up at the drive through. Oh and make sure to have plenty of napkins handy since the cup is usually sticky - there is a reason they wrap your cup in a stack. My favorite is the chocolate brownie concrete but I don't think I have ever finished it by myself. Sometimes I opt for the sundae just because it is smaller and with hot fudge, just as yummy. more

Good stuff, but a bit heavy 8/20/2005

Nielsen's frozen custard is definitely addictive stuff. It's really good, but you should realize that it's a bit heavy. You look at the size of cup that you're getting, and I was a bit disappointed at first, but it's so rich/heavy, you'll still probably not finish it all. All said and done, it's a really good treat, and well worth the visit. Just don't get hooked or you'll be in the gym all the time trying to work it off! ;) more

Nielsen's frozen Custard has the best ice cream type frozen custard ever! My husband and I both like to go there. They have been listed in the best restaurant guides before - and deservedly so! The frozen custard comes in a lot of flavors and is delicious. It is filling and I always buy a "small" because even that size is generous. more

Frozen Custard 8/15/2005

Nielsen's frozen Custard is incredible. My Wife and I both are sure to stop off whenever we are in the vicinity. The frozen custard is a thicker ice cream and is much more filling. As far as price goes, it's no more expensive than Baskin-Robbins or Dairy Queen and is much more satisfying. I'm not a huge ice cream eater but this place is the exception to the rule. more
