Few weeks ago, a different dentist at her clinic told me that I need 2 small fillings. When I came to the clinic to take care of this, Dr. Pai tried to convince me to not fix the fillings, and instead to do 2 crowns. She did not show me any X-rays and tried to explain the reasons that one crown is required because otherwise she will need to remove a large portion of the tooth for the small filling, so it is better to do a crown. The second crown is required because the existing crown is old. I tried to talk with her more about it. Also, I asked for a quote and explained that I was not prepared for the treatment right away. Since she was preparing to start on the crowns without my full consent, I had to be strong in order to stop her. At that point I was left alone on the chair and had to get out with no assistance and proper checkout. more

At the first visit, there was no explanation of the procedure on my teeth. After I got claim from my insurance company, I realized that they charged me for cleaning which still I do not understand what kind of cleaning they did on my teeth. It ultimately waste my yearly insurance coverage. In addition, Dr.Pai asked me to change all my crowns and fillings. Therefore, I have got more than $4000 for a qoute on the first visit. The staffs were not nice enough to discuss about the financial option due to my insurance limit. I visited there since I had read excellent reviews on Dr.Pai from googling. But now I am very suspicious on those reviews, especially who wrote those nice reviews. It was the worst experience out of 10 dentists from whom I was taken care of before . more
