My best friend and I came to Lewisville for a quick pick up of an order I had placed online, and to save on shipping we decided to drive down. While looking for the location of the business we were going to be picking up from, we passed Nick's while going in the wrong direction, and then passed it again heading in the correct direction. After finding our location and missing them because of lunch, we turned around and drove back in the wrong direction to get back to Nick's. Having worked managing a pizza company for 10 years in the 80s-90s, I'll take every opportunity to try a Mom and Pop place, giving half a chance. Even though I was apprehensive (always am with new experiences) the large pizza we ordered had pepperoni, regular ground sausage, and mushrooms. Beware... large is LARGE. I never inquired about the size, but was certainly larger than a 14-inch back in Wichita Falls! Toppings were plentiful and even distributed. Cheese was noticeable and the sauce had a great flavor. But the best thing of all for me was the crust. I LOVE a chewy, bite you back, crust. Wonderful! The owner took our order and the Italian accent pretty much assured me this would be a good experience. There were many items on the menu that I would have loved to try, but I know that when I return to Lewisville in the future, I'll be salivating for this pizza. It was, in my humbled, experienced palate of all things pizza - excellent! A must try if you are in the area. Thanks for a great experience all around, from the friendly staff to the wonderful pizza!
