Nick's Comedy Stop disappointed me because it used to be a great club. Their drinks were overpriced and not worth the money at all. Their service was below average.

Pick something else to do - No heat in place - aweful 12/12/2009

We went to Nicks last night and it was not only bad it kind of amazed us. It was about 25 degrees outside and they didn't put the heat on to save money. There was six comedians of which two were pretty good. So if your looking for a nice night out with your friends and or significant others and you would like to pay 20 bucks to sit and freeze your ass off and pay 6 bucks a beer to make you more cold, this is a great event for you. Unreal they can't put the heat on, I know times are tough but when it's 25 degrees out during the holidays put the f***** heat on you cheap bastards. Pros: None Cons: Everything more

You get what you pay for. Pay nothing get nothing 4/28/2009

Some friends of ours received free ticket for the comedy show. We had just been to a club around the corner by the common a month earlier and had a wonderful time so we agreed to go. Apparently 90% of the audience good their tickets for free also. The certainly treated the comics like the had no value. The comics were no great but they did have a chance anyway, The crowd was heckling and jeering them a night and they were so loud you couldn't really hear them anyway. The Drink prices were ridiculous and then they rushed us out because the club became a dance club after the show. Never again. We will go back to the little club from earlier. Pros: Nothing that I can think of accept a lesson learned Cons: Prices, Quality, Attitude more

wasnt as good as i expected it 11/6/2008

i thought this place was alright i heard it was okay, so i decided to check it out on friday night. the comedians didnt impress me. they had second rate acts, just the same old jokes you hear all the time. i was surprised i could hear the comedy to be honest, it was very loud. there were to many drunks in the back, it was distracting more

I was actually impressed!! 10/1/2008

I had some friends from out of town who heard good things about Nick's. After seeing the reviews here I was not looking forward to going. I'm stoked that i did!!! The last two comedians were real funny and made the trip into town worth it. Props to you guys! I will definitly be back to see you again. Are you there every weekend? I'm not to sure about the accuracy of the reviews below. They either don't appreciate new school comedy... hence the, "its not the nick's it used to be". Do they want to to be like it was 10 years ago? Times have changed guy, so jump on the bandwagon. Oe, they were expecting a tier 1 comedy show in NYC. Either way....Don't be cheap...if you want cheap drinks then go to Jacob Wirth or the TAM down the street and laugh at the other patrons there. Cheers Nick - I'll be back! Pros: Fun, good comedians, great atmoshere, something different then the typical night out in Boston Cons: typical boston drink prices, no parking, show isn't long enough. more

Not the Nick's I remember. Never again 9/11/2008

Shows are in a very amateurish amateurish and very crude. The drinks are priced like a tourist trap and they rushed us out to let the dance crowd in like unwelcome guests who stayed to long Pros: it was over early Cons: Not a laugh or a pleasant minute in the night more

Below average & not worth the money 9/4/2008

Everything in this club was below average; comedians, service, drinks. The comedians weren't only mindly funny and the service was bad. It was certainly not worth the money that I had spent by the end of the night. more

Please don't bother, READ THIS 6/17/2007

I worked in the Nightclub Bus. and I'll tell you this place is a trap. First of all the addmission price is out of this world. Then they tell you to get a drink from the waitress. When you get it, it is really weak. I went to the Bartender myself and tipped him 5 bucks and you still get the same thing. Most of all, the shows are all new commers or has beens. Save your mony and go to The Connection. What ever you dont do the Valet Parking. more

Not the Nick's Comedy Stop of the 80's & 90's. Very disappointing night 5/5/2007

I went to this club all the time when I was in collage. Saw the greats of comedy. Not anymore. It's a tourist trap with high prices, weak drinks, and lousy comedy. The crowd was drunk and loud and nobody told them to quiet down. The night was a total waste of time. The showroom isn't even the same room and the stage was like a table. Never again. Pros: the night was short Cons: everything more

God what a ripoff this place was. The show was filthy and not very funny. 2/3/2007

The place was full of drinks yelling at the stage and nobody tried to control them. Then drinks were twice as much as most clubs and week. The staff wasn't watch and the bartenders were yelling to waitress louder than the show. They rushed us out after show because they had a euro dance club atter the comedy. Lousy night Pros: No one thing Cons: Parking expensive, Drinks expensive, Show Filthy and not Fun. A BigTourist Trap more

Funny and friendly 9/20/2002

Nick's comedy stop is a clean, fun place to have a great time. The comedians are hilarious and the great service and atmospshere make the night perfect... Pros: Service, Clean, Open space more
