We finally dumped Dr. Knapp. Nice guy, but never tests for anything. He told me: "I think your child has H1N1" but didn't bother testing, so what was I supposed to tell the sch...

Great Doctor - Happy kids! 10/3/2008

Best Pediatrician in Tarrant County--maybe even the state of Texas 2/20/2007

Dr Knapp is by far the best pediatrician I have ever had dealings with. I have 3 children and have been through several docs and he is by far the most thorough. He tells parents things they should look for according to the age so that you are loaded with information and feel informed. He takes his time during his exams and quite honestly, I wish that he could be my doctor as well. I have never had a physician explain to me the reasons why children act and behave the way they do. He also takes the time to address old wives tales that can confuse and concern new overwhelmed parents. I will use Dr. Knapp until my children are just too old for his office. I am sure we will have a moment of silence when that day occurs. Highly recommended. more

""Old School"" pediatrician 8/21/2005

Dr. Knapp is an ""old school"" pediatrician. He has a wonderful bedside manner with the little ones, but tends just to lecture to parents and doesn't really acknowledge their concerns. He is great for your average child, but if you have a child with special needs (or are not your typical nuclear family) or other forms of intervention, he is not the best choice. We have also been brushed off to the ER for care when he could have taken care of our concerns in office. Concerning special needs, we have been told by him that our child would ""grow out of it"" rather than encouraging us and guiding us to get the help we needed. We just didn't feel like all of our needs were being met, so we went elsewhere. He is good on so many levels, but he just wasn't a good fit for our needs. Pros: clean office, get appt. easily, bedside manner Cons: quick visits, glosses over concerns, too traditional more
