Great food, relaxing environment 8/23/2010

I love this quiet family-run restaurant. You can get a little Greek, a little Italian, or a hamburger. But the best part is that everything is made fresh. Great salad, piping hot fries, and the best baklava I've ever had. The walls are decorated with a gorgeous hand-painted mural. They obviously cater to a well mannered clientele. There were a lot of people there, but it is the quietest restaurant I've ever been in. As pointed out in earlier reviews, there is only one wait staff, but our drinks, soup and salad arrived in a timely fashion, followed by our main course by the time we were ready for it. If you are in a hurry, call ahead and get your order to go. If you're not, take your time and enjoy a leisurely dinner in a relaxed environment. The food is worth it. more

Friday Night Supper Club 3/8/2010

A large group of high friends meet weekly at different locations and we invaded Nicholas' on 3/5/10. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Fabulous food, fabulous prices. One waitress, however, so service was as best as could be expected for a party of 17. Best pizza I have EVER had. more

Food is good but the service does not exist 11/1/2009

We decided to try this restaurant since we were visiting friends. The first time we visited ? the husband and wife team cooked and served our meal to us. But once we received our food, they sat down to eat their dinner. I have no problem with this, but they did not attend to any other customers while eating their dinner. We needed drink refills, replacement silverware and condiments but this did not happen. They never checked with us once to find out if everything was fine or if we had any problems. The food was good so we dismissed it as a one time fluke. A few months passed and we revisited the restaurant again and much to our dismay they did the exact same thing again. We were shocked at this type of service. I checked with some friends in the area who have visited this restaurant on more than one occasion and was told this happens often. Suggestions have been noted but ignored by the owner. He claims that he and his wife put in 80 hrs a week in the restaurant and that he and his family have to eat at some point and prefer to eat it together and to take your business elsewhere. They have been in business for 20 yrs and they are not in business to take care of cheap and demanding whining customers. Pros: Good Food Cons: What service?? more

Great Food, Reasonably Priced! 11/2/2008

Nicholas' is a favorite restaurant for our family. We have been going there for about 15 years and we have never been disappointed with any of the food. Our favorite dish for a more relaxed dinner is the Steak Diane and a Greek Salad. Steak Diane takes a little time to prepare, but is well worth the wait. The Spaghetti is a must-try, and the 'Steak and All' (Philly Cheesesteak sandwich) is one of my favorites for lunch. Before or after the football game, this is a local favorite for an unbeatable pizza! Although I haven't tried it, I have heard the veal is also fabulous. I highly recommend it. Pros: Casual Dining, good prices, generous helpings Cons: Small restaurant with limited parking; may take a little more time to get served if it's busy. It's worth the wait, though. more

excellent food 9/10/2004

Petros Pisinos is an experienced chef and owns this small, family restaurant that will be an unexpected surprise. The Greek dishes are excellent and the signature items such as pepper steak are outstanding. Family restaurant and interior has been upgraded. Pleasant overall experience with excellent food quality. Pros: food quality, selection Cons: , crowded parking more
