NIagara Hobby & Craft Mart is heaven on earth for my 3 little boys who are train fanatics.
This store is located right off of Walden Ave. we take the 90 and get off at the Walden/Galleria (mall) exit. It's the first intersection just past the mall, Union Rd. You turn right and there it is. You can see the big caboose and Thomas the Tank Engine outside. There is ample parking.
This place is amazing. There are hobby and craft items for collectors of all ages. Airplanes, cars, trucks, and of course our favorite, TRAINS.
Settled right in the middle of the store is a huge train layout with trains running on the tracks. You can look at it from all 4 sides and push buttons to make the trains go. This in itself makes it worth the trip. But low and behold, walk down a little ramp and there is the Thomas the Tank Engine area. There are 2 train tables for the little ones to play and "try them out". One Jay Jay the Jet Plane table with planes to play with as well. There is also a doll house for children to explore.
The Thomas selection is large. Prices are a bit high but worth it for the "experience". Our most recent trip we purchased a Thomas metal lunchbox with a puzzle included for $13. We also got a small train to add to our collection. We spent $20 total.
This is a collector's paradise.
