Editorial review from Citysearch 5/29/2013

I went to the office few days ago to get some information because my cousins needed change their visas.\r However, the lady named Kristal or Krystal who helped me was extremely rude, and had an attitude. I barely understood her English, and that made me confused.. This school IS really for international students who willing to come here to study English? Even an Advisor can't even speak good amount of English? \r \r oh well, my cousins decided to come to this school tho. Tuition was bit cheaper than other language schools.\r \r Btw, the young lady who greeted us at the front office was really kind. When she toured us around the school, I had to ask her this and that stuff because I didn't want to ask Kristal. Wish she was an advisor instead because I could tell she cares about us and appreciate her kind and bright personalities. more

Criminals --> Report to FBI (seriously) 3/30/2012

The person below me knows what they are talking about. Whether in Garden Grove, Irvine, or Los Angeles, this school evidently has the same owner, and he or she wants to take advantage of his or her particular right to issue I - 20s and not be surveilled unbeknownst to his or her organizations' employees. If it became known to the FBI that the school's administration and teachers are in a ""don't ask, don't tell"" situation about the fact that there is no education that goes on here besides what the underpaid teachers heroically provide in spite of their terrible part-time wages, the owner would be arrested, his or her schools would be shut down, and he or she would no longer be able to pretend to care about people in exchange for their money and time. more

All lies 9/23/2011

The reviews posted on 8/16/11 are fake, written by the owner's daughter or someone he knows who can speak English well enough to post that. Look at the usernames - they used the same formula to make accounts with a first name and then random 3 digits afterward. On the same day. So fake. And they copied and pasted the reviews onto other sites. None of the staff at the school (Erica, Crystal, various Vietnamese helpers) can speak English above an intermediate level. The teachers are extremely underpaid and disrespected by the owner and as such have to work multiple part-time jobs to survive and thus don't have the energy to teach at an effective level. Refuses to pay the teachers to prepare or grade assignments, but requires them assign and grade HW and tests. The owner could change all that and turn the business around after receiving tons of advice but he likes his dumb corrupt weird strategy. This school is going to vanish soon. Oh yeah and his ""accreditation"" is fake. more

Great experience with ESL courses 8/16/2011

I am an international student from Thailand, and I have been attending ESL classes at Newton College in Garden Grove. My English has improved so much, and I am grateful for the support of my teachers here. Also, staff members Erica and Crystal have been very helpful to me. Thank you. more

Excellent Teachers & Caring Staff! 8/16/2011

I went through the dental lab technician training program at Newton, and it was the best decision I made to starting my own career. The instructors go out of their way to give you hands-on training and teach you how to shape, mold, and grind the materials with precision. After completing the program, I'm now employed at a dental lab, and am fully prepared for the challenges on the job. I would recommend this school to family and friends interested in a new career in this field! more

Terrible teacher!! 5/6/2011

I'm wasting my money and money in 400 TOEFL stupid class. I want to get TOEFL test to transfer to college but the teacher who the school hire isn't professional!! He didn't teach eny thing about TOEFL, just about car, music, royal wedding, BinLaden, bla bla...those things we can watch, can listen in TV or radio, even read the newspaper!! We don't need you talk about that. About the book, they change the book every session even we didn't finish the book of last session. The staff said they had already said to the teacher all our complains, they said he will change the way he teach us. But nothing change, still bla bla!! Study in this school is the worst idea i have ever decided. more

Worst Dental Tech school 8/29/2010

Stay away from this school - Tuition $9,500 is so high, worst school I've ever enrolled - The instructor can barely speak English - No classroom, no lecture - you will be on your own by asking questions to your fellow classmates that are enrolled ahead of you because you won't understand a word from the instructor Mathew Park ( who is also the owner brother !!! ). May be OK for Korean native. You will not learn anything from this place - school will not reimburse your hard earned money after one week enrolled. Beware!!! For rating this school - I give them a big ZERO, not even 1 star. more
